Deontay Wilder: I could legally kill Tyson Fury

Foreman also claimed people cheated when he lost. Most fighters will try to blame something on their first lost. So that isn't my point. Tyson Fury is far more offensive than Wilder but he gets a pass for obvious reasons. Just like people will attack Floyd Mayweather and praise Conor McGregor who is far more offensive for the same obvious reason.

It isn't like I am a fan of Wilder. He is a joke as a fighter but I call it like it is. If you want say Wilder is a idiot and annoying then do the same with Tyson Fury.

 

Lol again Fury talks about how he hates gay people yet kisses males on the mouth. He makes sexist comments constantly. The only thing Fury says to his opponents is call them a dosser. Yeah but Tyson Fury is clearly a intelligent person right? Wilder is a idiot but so is Tyson Fury.

 

Wilder is a delusional piece of trash, accusing a fighter of "egg weights" is pretty serious stuff i cant think of anything worse.

 

Not just that. There were clearly other mental issues than just anger management at play. He was a fighter that wasn't happy when he won, that always struck me as very odd. He wasn't actually very skilled, in fact he was very crude like a street brawler but had enormous power, much like Wilder. It seemed strange to me that there was so much hype around a fighter with such an obvious lack of fundamentals and there didn't seem to be a plan to teach him the fundamentals

I believe, and this is just speculation on my part, that his team knew he was a ticking time bomb and rather than help him they just wanted to make as much money as possible from him before he exploded

 

Well, if you talk about Ali vs Foreman fight in some africa country with dictator being Ali fan then there.

And actually I don't care, Foreman for me looks better than Ali from 70 ies and doesn't matters what ppl here think.
He had dealt vs Norton and Frazier easily, unlike Ali when had them in the ring.
I really can't believe that Ali might won rematch vs Foreman and this was reason why they did not had gave him rematch.

 

Wilder used to have a lot of fans in the UK, I was a big fan, I loved (and still do) his **** or bust, all in approach. It's just his self delusion is ugly, his racism is despicable and his excuses are pathetic. It's hard to like and support someone who behaves like that

So my point stands little kid. Deontay Wilder says something that offends you and it is the end of the world Tyson Fury makes tons of offensive comments and you make excuses for him.

I agree. Plenty of famous boxers have said things just like this and they're still loved to this day -- Mike Tyson and Foreman being some of the more obvious examples. Boxing is a violent sport, so I don't know why people take such issue with Wilder saying violent things.

To the people in this thread: You're not a fan of Wilder? That's fine, but stop clutching your pearls over Wilder while still holding other boxers in such high esteem.

 

Both Fury and Wilder are or have made claims of racism/ and or being racially abused, both make statements that are frankly OTT, sadly it has become de rigueur nowadays for certain folk to act in this way, it makes good clickbait and makes them money.

Both are as bad as each other, the immediacy of social and 'news' media mean we the public are fed these guys nonsense instantaneously.

When they fight let us hope the fight goes full 12 rounds, just think 36 whole minutes of not hearing verbal diatribes or trash talk from this pair.
