    Deontay won on Saturday night knocking out some undefeated prospect in 60 seconds.

    Do you think he'll be ready in a year?

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: No.

    This guy might have beaten an undefeated fighter but it was a guy who fought peeps with a combined record of like 23-94 or something like that. He has not edged out any legitimate contenders, he has not even beaten any rusty veterans. As of right now he's green and completely undeserving of a title shot. And i LIKE the guy.

    ****in up, GBP.

    He's being marketed ****ing terribly. No one has heard of him outside of hardcore fans.

    He didn't beat an undefeated 'prospect'. He beat a guy with a padded record. I think they're managing this guy all wrong, sure he's a raw talent and needs time to develop but putting him in the ring with guys who'll fall over as soon as they feel the breeze from a missed punch will not help him. At this stage they want to be putting him up against guys that will give him rounds but not seriously threaten him.

    I'd be surprised if he stepped up to fight the likes of Zack Page by this time next year, never mind a title shot.

    He's hasn't even fought anyone I've heard of yet. I know he's been brought along slowly because of his relative lack of amateur experience - but even in this Heavyweight era, fighting a bunch of scrubs doesn't prepare you for a title shot.

  6. Regardless, hes a prospect.

    I agree with you though, no way wilder is ready by next year

    Their combined record was 21(6 KOs)-93(23 KOs)-3, and he fought and beat the same guy 3 times.

    David Haye would beat Wilder. Wilder would have better chance against the Klitschkos.

    Obvioulsy Wilder won't be ready for a title shot next year, thats actually a funny statement. But I'd disagree with some and say he's been managed fine so far. Obviously he needs to step up his competition some really soon, his competiton has been very weak. But part of marketing fighters today is their records. Wilder having a glossy record will only make him more appealing of a fighter. He's only 24 so there is time to step up the competition and I'd like to see him do so in one of his next fights. But a flashy record can go along way towards making him an attraction as well.

    You sure he didn't mean a regional title?
