Obviously this isn't going to happen unless he were drastically make a step up in competition immediately. He'll get there one day hopefully, but not next year.

Wilder needs atleast 2 more years before he even thinks of getting a title shot.

I really like this dude, but he probably will not have earned a title shot in a year. in the meantime, he needs to start fighting more well known fighters instead of guys with 5-15 records. Im not saying rush him and put him in with Adamek or Arreola right now, but at least a fighter people have heard of, maybe Owen Beck or something

  4. im right with you on that one man, i really like wilder hes a good guy

wilder could atleast fight like a marcus rhodes or george lininberger type a 30 and 20 guy hes 12 fights in and hast fought anybody with more than 10 wins he needs to face ppl that can get in and test the D and take him 4 or more rounds

or he wont develop the lungs and will develop bad habits

  6. usually people in boxing step up the comp after 15 fights

This guy is not good and is over-hypped because hes the only U.S Olympian to Medal.

He is a refined version of Tyrone Brunson.

How the hell could you make a positive assessment of him when hes only gone beyond the 1st round in only 2 or 3 of his fights? :patsch:patsch

I seen some of his amateur bouts and I am not impressed.

Just another hype machine ready to happen.

he can get there . he can definitelly be a heavyweight champion but i dont see it happening within a year. he has the ability but he needs to test himself more and see what he needs to work on.

a "hype machine", huh? who the hell do you see hyping him? like the dude above said, hes a prospect for ****s sake. I havent seen anyone say hes going to beat Wlad or Vitali or Haye or anyone. hes a green prospect with a lot of potential and is one of the most athletic HWs today, let him develop

theyre called prospects, maybe you should learn the sport of boxing

Rushing the kid like that would be a horrible move. Give him a chance to develop fighting winnable fights for at least another year, then see if he's ready to step it up to journeymen-level heavies.

Two years at an absolute minimum unless they don't give a **** about him. He hasn't even fought someone the level of a washed-up Bruce Seldon in an Atlas special dark exhibition, I don't think. He'd be toast with Haye or either Klitschko.
