Preferably Takam, or Jennings. As much as I like Thompson, and like his chances against Wilder(especially during 2013 when he beat Price x2) He's just getting older and older, approaching his mid 40s. Jennings and Takam are both still young and probably have at least 5-6 years left as contenders, if Wilder is to bypass his mandatory again I wouldn't complain if it were one of these two, TT on the other hand has been inactive and only wins since Price have been fat hog Solis. I'd rather see him than Wawrzyk of course though....

Wilder will fight another bum then cash out against Wlad in April or May.

    This seems likely.

Wilder is an absolute disgrace. The WBC should strip him and I feel sorry for Povetkin. How long has he been mandatory now?

All 3 are seen too risky anyways. We might have to settle with Arreola in the end.

You only watch Klitschko so that's perfectly understandable .

As a boxing fan , I have a major problem with it.

Not that I don't believe it but is there a source for this?

The op miss quoted the whole thing.

Wilder and his team said they'd fight Povetkin in Dec if he's ready. They want another fight because of his time wasting. The Wach fight should be done and dusted by now

This situation is all on him. He should cancel the Wach fight and go after Wilder.

Can't run forever povetkin number 1 and Joshua number 2. He is just cashing in on as many defences as possible before getting beat by one of these 2 for big money or by wlad. He has already said he does not want to be in boxing too long and has other career options. Agree feel sorry for povetkin but this is what the WBC wanted a American heavyweight champ so they won't order him to fight anyone decent for awhile.

I'm sure Povetkin will be available in february. So why not February instead of january? The article also talks about the possibillity of negotiations taking too long, which I'm guessing another excuse in case Povetkin is ready in january or february.
