It's so easy to make fun of Fury. Back to the topic. Fight starts in 40 min.

Okay -- the HW division is so full of fat *******s and old guys that I would really like to see Wilder turn out to be somebody.

Same here. I think in this weak division, with his athleticism, handspeed, power, footspeed, reflexes, etc. He can go far in this division. He's a natural fighter with natural gifts, he just needs polishing. If he can take a big punch, get the proper experience, work on his flaws and become technically sound, then I would chalk him up as a future Undisputed Champion. Time will tell. His chin is his biggest question mark.

    Is Wilder still fighting bums?

He's a good dude and I wish him all the best, but for the love of god please step it up a level Deontay.

He needs just a lot of ringtime and work to get his coordination down; is the most immediate thing to me. He needs to finish growing into his body and getting used to how to use it effectively in boxing.

It is but to be fair to the guy he does have some substance.
[YT]Gcz0hwzG1sk[/YT] That was a good performance by Fury against albeit crude opposition.

Both Fury and Wilder currently look a little unsettled when pressure is put on them and their opponent comes forward throwing with intent. However both have plenty of ability and neither man should be written off until we see solid cracks in their armour(with are unlikely to be developed on as they grow as pros).

Wilder's only 23, Fury just turned 21 both of these men will improve physically aswell as technically.

While I wouldn't like to see Wilder thrown in at the deep end I do think they need to step him up some what. If they keep giving him guys he can blow out in a round he may become disinterested and he may not be really learning anything.
It would be good for him if they put him in with a teak tough spoiler, someone that will make him work for the 4 round distance and just get him used to fighting over a few rounds rather than 1.

As for Fury you really have to give them credit for how quickly they're moving him. In his next fight(September), he's fighting for the English title against John McDermott(the English champion) who's fought for the British title 3 times and been in against the likes of Matt Skelton and Danny Williams.
McDermott although a bit of a dough-boy is a real genuine test and a quite a threat to be throwing a prospect in against.
