He does better than Grant but loses to Lewis, Bowe, Holyfield, Tua, possibly Mercer and the best Morrison (that's a however lands first) He could beat Ruddock, Ike, and would have (and I'm not even joking) 50-50s with Old Foreman and Post prison Tyson
He'd likely be a belt holder. He'd no doubt meet his match with Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield and early 90's and probably 1996 Mike Tyson.
Holyfield, Lewis , Bowe, Tyson and old Foreman to beat him. 1990-'91 Ruddock and 1997-'98 Ibeabuchi might be 50-50. Everyone else he'd beat.
Would be a very interesting matchup stylewise against either Byrd or Tua...or even Shannon Briggs for that matter I think he could have had some great fights against tough chinned contenders like Oliver McCall or Ray Mercer He'd be a safe bet to beat Andrew Golota, Franz Botha and even Axel Shultz He loses badly to Lewis, not so badly Holyfield Who knows what frame of mind Tyson would be in
Hide wouldn`t have survived being hurt by Ortiz and was nowhere near that level while being far too small for heavyweight.
He would have beaten everyone in the 90`s, Lewis would have the best shot at stopping him aside from Vitali, Wilder would have trouble catching Holy flush on the chin.
The 1990's was loaded. 1. Lewis 2. Holyfield 3. Bowe 4. Tyson 5. Ibeabuchi 6. Byrd 7. Morrer 8. Mercer 9. Douglas ( At his best ) 10. Tua 11. Morrison 12. Bruno 13. Rhaman 14 McCall 15. Ruiz. Wilder might make the cut around 14-15, he would not do well in the 1990's. I did not include Vitali or Wlad, but they fought in the 1990's. Heck Herbie Hide could have iced him,
He'd beat Moorer ,Morrison ,old Foreman ,Mercer ,McCall and old Holmes . He'd lose to Holy field ,Lewis and Bowe .And possibly Tyson .
It wasn`t a very dangerous era and they didn`t have the defensive skills to avoid Wilder`s power because of his reach, Holy was good at protecting his chin and Lewis had the reach to use his lead to keep Wilder off but the others had poor defensive skills, I wasn`t aware that the IBC and WBF were really known in the 90`s tat much, I don`t think Wilder would have bothered fighting for those belts but he would have easily beaten any WBO champ in the 90`s except Vitali who I think beat Herbie Hide for that title back then.
The only fighters on this list that would stand a chance would be Douglas, Holy, Lewis and maybe Bowe but he too easy to hit, Vitali may have beaten Wilder also.
