I honestly don't think it's as bad as is made out.

Stiverne, Molina and Ortiz were all top ten ranked I think Duahaupas was as well.

Arreola and Brezeale were recently ranked.

The two times he almost lost (Ortiz and Fury) he rematched them both.

From June 2019 to February 2020 he was probably the best HW in the world.

From 2015 to 2020 he was at worst a top 5 HW and certainly very good.

He isn't an ATG, he probably won't go down as anything special in historical terms.

But 5 years as a very good HW and just short of a year as the best HW is a pretty decent career imo.

Dubblechin says: You are the one who keeps harping on 36 years old and Ring Top 10.

Don't get pissy with me. You set the criteria.

If you used YOUR criteria against Joshua, Joshua has defended against one challenger who was both under 36 and in the Ring top 10. (Parker)

WOW. Roll out the red carpet.

Wilder, on other hand, made two defenses of his title against a Ring Top 10 opponent under 36 .. in Tyson Fury ... the #1 fighter in the whole goddamn sport.

Who in the sport of boxing can you fight this year who is better than Tyson Fury? No one.

And Wilder defended his title against him for the SECOND time this year.

    Zero credit for that.

You mentioned Wilder, Fury and Joshua. They are the top three now. Wilder and Fury fought twice.

You wish someone like Tomasz Adamek was rated instead of those three? You wish Wilder, Fury or Joshua would fight someone like Tomasz Adamek? (LOL)

You are hung up on Ring ratings and the age 36. We've discussed this before. All Ring ratings aren't equal. The #2 guy in Vitali's reign according to Ring was Adamek. The #1 Ring guy at one point during Joe Louis' reign was Tony Galento.

The top guys now have begun fighting each other. Without question.

Fury, Joshua and Wilder are ALL better than Adamek.

Hell, everyone in the ring top 10 today is better than Adamek.

Instead of counting ages and insisting all #2 rated guys are better, regardless of era, just enjoy what's going on now.

And, in five years during Vitali's reign, you saw him fight #2 Adamek and #2 Sam Peter.

You know what, I think I'll take this era. Thanks.

But, feel free to keep pining for the days when Adamek was under 36 and #2 in the Ring heavyweight ratings. Or the Kingpin was rated #9.

    Whatever floats your boat.

If you think Wilder's defenses PAIL in comparison to Vitali's top opponents during his reign, I've made my point.

Wilder's defenses are as good as Wlad's lol man you have been drinking the cool aid lol. Pulev, Povetkin, Mercer, Byrd, Chambers, Thompson, Haye, Peter, Chagaev, Brock, Rachman, Ibragimov, Mccline, Botha... You hugging Wilders nuts too hard if you think Wilders defenses were as good as these lol.

Wilder has one of the worst resumes among HW beltholders in boxing history. Fought a bunch of utter stiffs for the first 5 years of his career and then carefully selected journeymen, fringe contenders and aging ranked fighters before Fury exposed him twice.

Been said but Wilder thought fury was done. Big mistake!! In the first Ortiz fight literarily saved by the Bell. Was holding on for dear life. Got lucky there..

Wilder's resumes is very thin, yes other have taken fights with bigger names at the end of there career's. But even wlad at 40 is worth a lot more than a stiverne

I saw the sparring video of Wilder laid flat out by a jab in sparring by Wlad.

But you know. Just like the Sconiers knockdown, that video was wiped from the internet
