Deontay Wilder is already in the HOF, what else does he need to do for ATG status?

Fighters not in the HOF: Henry Maske, Graciano Rocciciani, Sven Ottke.

I don't see how Wilder is "surely" in.

 

He's now where near ATG as of yet

He's not even proved he's top 5 in this era, you can speculate but he's proved nothing as of yet.

Think about it, a win over Ortiz and gift draw against fury is all he has on his record. An old man who I think is way past his best and a loss against a fury who was 50%

The rest of his resume is almost irrelevant

To be an ATG he needs to beat fury and Joshua plus have at least 3-4 defences against the likes of Parker, Ruiz, povetkin, Whyte etc...solid top 5/10 guys

Joshua is closer to ATG than wilder, sure he slipped up but his resume is solid if he can add wilder and a couple more good wins to his list he's there

Same for fury really, beat wilder and have another few good wins and he's there....

Wilder is a bum...as of yet...he might yet prove us wrong, but I doubt it.

 

Now to be fair to Wilder, we know Vitali Klitschko also made the HOF in 2017. And his record is quite thin, maybe even comparable to Wilder's.

 

Fight Andre Ward and beat him.

Ward 120-108 btw

 

If he can fight and beat a LIVE BODY like Dillian Whyte, then he will get an inch closer to ATG.

Fighting faded pensioners and feather fisted wannabe's like Tyson Fury doesn't cut it.

KOing Fury proves nothing we don't already know, that he hits hard. He needs to fight someone who is as dangerous as him.

Ruiz Jr, Anthony Joshua, Dillian Whyte are good starts.

 

I don't think he is ATG with those three. All time great? I think it looks good, but he needs a few more defenses after that to be in that level of fighter.

Sound asleep is what I am every morning until my alarm wakes me up. Fury was sound asleep, then "All of a sudden, I opened my eyes and I jumped up.'

And that was that, he got up to fight on.

 

Wilder must be useless if he couldn’t finish off a bloke who was apparently knocked asleep, especially with 2 minutes left on the clock.
