How can he claim he is the A side. Fury and AJ can't walk down the street without getting mobbed in the UK People see Wilder and just think "I bet he plays basketball at college" This content is protected
Amazing, i guess muricans like their champs to fight top guys before idolizing them. How weird???? Thats heavy sarcasm for you **** faces that still refuse to get it. If he looks great fighting his first top guy in Ortiz, fans will start jumping all over his bandwagon. Which is what has always been the case you freakin confused buffoons. Trying to claim its only because boxing is dead in the states. Smh. ****ing idiots. Geez i wonder why Wilder isnt a bigger draw yet??????????? Why cant a man be considered the best without first beating the best?!?!?! No fair!!!!!! Everyone is being mean to poor Wilder and his perfect record!!! If Wilder beats the top guys impressively he will become a superstar, if not he will just make multy millions. Poor boxing in America, its just awful!!!!!
This. Floyd himself before the De la hoya fight and WWE appearances also wasn't very famous in America. Becoming famous in America is far more difficult than it is in the U.K.
He's not the A-Side. His demands of anywhere over 40% are either just plain chancing it (I.E. You don't ask, you don't get) or a way of ducking/postponing.
Yes, Wilder is unknown because he fights mostly in Alabama where the men are men and the sheep are nervous! Wilder has never fought a legit opponent, but not Ortiz will be his best opponent, a 50 year old out of the nursing home. Wilder refused to fight Whyte for millions! Does Haymon have options on Ortiz? WILDER HAS HAYMON BOXING INSURANCE!
The American public obviously recognise a fraud when they see one, Wilder has fought 0 top guys so is correctly not considered a top guy in his home country. Simple.
I wont go as far as to say Wilder is a fraud until he is fully exposed as one but i agree with this. Americans want to know these sports stars are for real before they decide to back them by paying crazy ticket prices and crazy PPV prices and Wilder and his handlers have just not done that. Great Boxers have retired on less fights than it has taken Wilder to start facing acceptable opposition. If he had proved himself and blown away a couple of big names somewhere in his 40 fights he would have a much bigger fanbase and would be generating a whole lot more money. But usually when fighters are kept on the downlow most their career and have poor resumes its usually for the obvious reason and when its time to cash out its time to cash out. Is it different this time?
