Kovalev was reported to be getting 3 plus million vs Canelo.. you actually believe this!

The funnier thing is why do fans look at fighters money lol.

Don’t you think AJ would swap the money for wilder and fury’s path right now.

After turning down the dazn deal wilder has fought.
    Dominic
    Fury
    Ortiz
    Fury 2
He will have made at least £70 plus million from those four.

    Chess not checkers

Wilder has stated money isn’t the most important thing to him, at least he isn’t a sell out because he’s stuck to his word. Not particularly a fan of the guy but it’s the truth.

So Showtime and PBC/ Haymon don't mind putting this show on as a huge loss maker then? Fair play to them for ensuring that Wilder and Ortiz get theirs while the board at Showtime and PBC/ Haymon take a cut in wages to cover the difference..........What absolute, complete and utter BOLLOCKS!!!!!!:lupie:

Can't be any money in fighting Joshua, apparently all the big money is made by fighting bums and old men (rematches too) followed by the "unknown in america" ex fat drug addicts...

Did u know Wilder made £70m in 4 fights doing this???

Apparently AJ would swap his career for this route too

Its chess not chequers don't you know

    :)

Yep this is the whole reason Wilder took the meeting with DAZN to see where his market value was.. They paid him $20 mil vs Brezeale And why Ortiz turned down the AJ figh with the promise that he would make close to what DAZN offered

cause most are living on someone elses dime, eating off the crumbs from someone elses table. they have no real appreciation of the value of a dollar.

Official purses are always lower than actual for headliners who get various "guarantees" and "percentages" from deals within their promotion. Sometimes, it's dramatically more.

No, dumbass. The guarantee is the same as the total purse when you don't like the fighters and the guys who you root for are in the trash heap.

    Huh?

You are definitely incorrect. It's a known thing that boxers, especially the headliners, often make a whole lot more than commission listed purses say.

You think ESPN has made a profit on Fury?

They take the smaller short-term loss and cash the big checks on Wilder-Fury II.

I’m saying the people in this thread ignore it on purpose because it’s not Joshua or Fury.

Eddie Hearn likes to feed large purse numbers to the public for whatever reason.

I think most people see through him, it’s not about the money when you’re in sh*t fights, if he stepped it up a bit you bet your a55 he’d be all about the money. At the end of the day people just don’t buy what he’s selling.
