I saw some of guys discussing the 2 earlier today and I have to say that I was pretty surprised to see that some of you were just tearing apart Wilder and building up Tyson Fury. I saw the clips of both of them and I was much more impressed with Wilder , Fury was fighting a guy who put up pretty much no resistance to him and he had such a hard time getting rid of him. there's no way his opponent should have gotten past the 2nd round at best , fury was hitting him with some pretty good combinations but had a hard time hurting him which tells me he doesn't have much power , I was totally unimpressed. in Wilder's case I saw a fighter who has some real talent and punching power he may still have a lot to learn but it was only his second pro fight he has plenty of time to learn..that is why you're not gonna see a guy fight for a title after 2 fights..lol..Remember although he won the Bronze Medal in the Heavyweight Division in last years Olympics he was the least experienced fighter on the USA team with just 17 amatuer fights I believe. so give him some time to develop.

Wilder is freakishly athletic for his size. He'll destroy Fury if they ever meet.

most don't really rate fury that highly he has some nice moves and mixes his shots well but he is flabby,un-cordinated and not a immensely talented fighter...in comparison to wilder.

his only claim to fame was his great performance against david price who was a seasoned enough am fighter who was getting pushed to the brink.

also the bbc had some first time journalist spouting an article on the website on how fury was going to be the next world champ when he had lost to david price...he was 18 years old when he had been touted as a world champ, ready icku las. just a gullible writer who found a 6'9 heavyweight boxer called tyson.

i doubt people are gonna argue that fury is better than wilder.

I like Deontay, seems like a nice guy and it is always a refreshing change to see a heavyweight that doesn't have tits. Fury on the other hand is easier to dislike due to his mouthy nature, but as fans of the sport he shouldn't deserve any hate just for that.

I do however think you are being harsh on Fury, his competition so far has been considerably better than Wilder's. Fury has been put in with tough journeymen (ignoring his debut which was a last minute replacement for when he came back from his honeymoon!) with his 3 latest foes having 106 rounds of pro ring experience, whereas Wilder has faced two (and a third soon) almost complete novices with only eight fights between the three of them! Tyson is three years younger than Deontay, turned pro a month later but is already going to be heading into his 5th fight next month compared to Deontay's third.

As for the flabby thing, I don't know how many times people need reminding that it is not a body building contest! lol, but more seriously, Fury has lost 13lbs in 3 months and is clearly taking it seriously so he doesn't deserve too much flack for that.

In the end it all comes down to the fact that we should be pleased that there at least 2 pretty good heavyweight prospects that can only be positive for the division in the future!

Fury's fighting again tonight, just two weeks after his last fight.

Have not seen Wilder fight yet so can't say how good he is. I'll check him out on Youtube later.

Wilder is a thousand times better than Fury , at the minute it would be like putting Julius Long in with a Alex Povetkin... Tyson knows no better because he has never boxed anyone above his station yet, but thinks everyone is beneath him.. Once he tastes that new other level classes above he will realise size and strength only gets you so far.. especially when he is not very well conditioned after all said and done.. Fury would struggle with Audley soo much , he just doesn't know his place.. Deontay would do a solid job on him and he is just a novice himself..

Wilder looks extremely promising but very raw. Not sure if turning pro so soon is in his best interest. He needs to be fighting like one every 3 weeks and not chasing a title until at least 30 pro fights.

Both are excellent prospects that can rejuvenate the heavyweight scene. I don't understand all the hate.
