I have finally figured it out. The WBC is trying to create the equivalent of a triple A ball club.

Think about it, whiles Wlad Klischko was achieving 18 glorious title defenses against the best the sport had to offer, the WBC was intenionally creating a joke title.

The matched a fat guy with ****s who has never won an important fight and can't beat Fred Kassi (Arreola) against a fat guy who pees gravy who got stopped against Demetrice King (Stivern). To make it more comical, it was a rematch, so they knew the second fat guy would win as long as he did not have a stroke.

Then, they took said fat guy, and matched him against a re**** who had his close buddy come in and take a dive.

The re**** won, and has now fought three guys who are not even legitimate top thirty contenders. The fat guy has gone on to embarrass himself by getting knocked down by Derrick Rossi.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Fury unseats ATG Klitschko for the real belt, Martin mans up and beats Glazkov and immediately signs to fight uber-contender Joshua, whiles Ortiz almost kills Jennings and signs to fight Thompson.

This kind of farce is the kind of thing that can make a man irrate--until you realize that they are trying to develop a minor league to redeem marginal talent and give them a chance to develop.

    I get it now.

    Bravo, WBC! Bravo!

So I guess that makes Povetkin a minor league joke right?

Povetkin has beaten some of the best in boxing, inclduing Chris Byrd, Eddie Chambers, Ruslan Chagaev, Marco Huck... even his second string victories like Larry Donald shame Wilder.

    He ****s all over Wilder.

Chris Byrd was washed up, Eddie Chambers was a pretender, Huck was a blown up cruiserweight who arguably won his fight against Povetkin and got screwed, Chagaev couldn't even knock out Kertson Manswell right after his Povetkin fight, who Wilder destroyed in one round. He's been done since Valuev.

Even so, he's still the alleged minor league's no 1 contender. So if you think he is so great you ought to be satisfied Wilder is fighting him now.

Please. Any of those guys would destroy your re****ed boyfriend and any of the cripples he digs up to fight.

    You are a moron.

How was Huck "blown up"? He was 209 that night.

    How about Takam and Perez?

Based on what? Chagaev couldn't even knock out Manswell and Wilder destroyed him in one round. David Haye called Eddie Chambers the biggest joke ever. lol.

Chris Byrd like I said was almost as done as Rahman when Povetkin fought him. And there is no way in Hell Huck beats Wilder, way to small.

Takam would comfortably beat anyone Wilder has ever fought.

Takam is solid, but not exactly an ATG. Perez was good, but something was up with him that night.

Look, I definitely am not saying Povetkin can't beat Wilder. I worry about his chin in this fight, Povetkin no doubt is a dangerous fighter. But it isn't an absolute 100-1 odds underdog situation for Wilder like people say.

Sheer speculation. His best scalp couldn't even beat Malik Scott.

Wilder only "beat" Scott because he took a dive. It was obvious, and the second one in a row.

Povetkin is in a different class than the big re****.

People keep swearing the Huck fight was a robbery I've watched it twice Povetkin won the fight square. Good fight yes. Competitive, yes. Robbery, no way.

Anyway Povetkin has a very good resume. Wilder does not. Who will win, who knows but I am picking Povetkin by KO

That, of course. Povetkin has shown plenty of vulnerabilities and Wilder is pretty damn athletic.
But how was Huck "blown up"? :fire
(I remember having Huck 115-113 over Povetkin)

Not only did Povetkin win but it was a FOTY type fight.

How come Povetkin didn't dominate the cruiserweight Gatti? That was one lackluster performance.
