Deontay Wilder has a style similar to Ricardo Mayorga the two hit hard also won some world boxing title. the two talk too much about their rival
Mayorga's competition was vastly superior to Wilder's, as was he to Wilder. Mayorga had plan B and could adapt, he simply wasn't good enough to beat those guys. His first fight against Mosley is an example of him adjusting.
He's oft compared to Michael Grant: A big, hard-hitting and brave but eternally limited and chinny converted fourth-stringer from a popular American sport.
This pretty much sums him up. And apparently beating this guy is all it takes to be considered #1 Heavyweight of this generation. Jesus
Grant's power wasn't great. He weared guys down and stopped them with barrages of punches rather than knocked them out with 1-2 blows. He coudn't stop or drop Ray Anis, whom John Ruiz has knocked out in 20 seconds. I think Grant's punching power wasn't any better than Fury's one. Plus Wilder has better killer instinct, much quicke hands and better reflexesh. And while Grant IMO had far superior stamina comparing to Deontay, it's the only part of the game in which he was better. So I think it's not fair to compare them.
