Why do you assume he's European?

 

Wilder's year is more likely 2015, unless he steps up and gets KO'd before then

 

Why do you assume it's only Brits who criticise Wilder, and why do you think there's even a nationalistic argument going on here? If we had a fighter touted as a top prospect taking on the sort of opposition Wilder's been doing he'd get a ton of stick too. Price already gets criticised on these shores for taking on old men like Audley and Skelton, yet his resume's considerably better than Wilder's. Audley would be Wilder's biggest win at this stage.

 

I hope its Wilders year, to face someone just near top 20...but I doubt he will.

 

Because he's European...Ive been here long enough to know that kind of thing.

So because he's European that automatically makes him a Wilder hater?

This isn't the Cold War anymore mate. You can be fans or detractors of fighters from any region or country, including your own.

 

True you can be, and nothing wrong with that, this isnt that kind of deal.

 

I'd wager that many "Europeans" dislike Wilder not because they consider him a threat to their own guys but because he's hyped up by his (mostly American) fans as some sort of top prospect despite having fought no one worth talking about. You'll find many of your own countrymen echoing the same comments as well.

It's not really a nationalistic debate, as far as I can see, more an intolerance of hype jobs with big gobs, which Wilder is rapidly becoming.

 

Exactly. I'm not European - in fact I've never even BEEN to Europe - and I know Wilder is a glass jawed fraud with an absurdly padded record against stiffs who they basically took out of a local bar to face this JOKE.

The only American on this site who has even really hinted at Wilder being anything more than top 10 is Bama. Everyone else is cautiously optimistic.

But absolutely garbage posters like Earl-hickey come out of the woodwork to trash him because he's American...even though Price has yet to fight a live body. People always bring up the terribly out of shape guys Wilder fights, but lardasses like John McDermott are passed over in criticism.


Fury's best win is over another lardass Chisora...and he was badly rocked by a feather fisted euro bum.
