I agree with you in part.

However, as he stands now he's 350lbs.

Wilder is not #1. He needs to fight another top heavyweight before that happens. He probably has the weakest resume in heavyweight champion history.

If Wilder's leading the rebirth, then the HW division is f***ked.

Some boxing fans here seriously set low standards for greatness from their fighters.

and Chris Arreola have also played their part in the heavyweights resurrection.

I stopped reading after this.. Pretty much a total bull**** article...

So GGG threads are finished and we are back to usual posting \o/...

The level of hate on Deontay (a true blue American , our own HW Champ) is highly unusual. I dont really understand it. Maybe somebody could explain.

    Thats a brilliant record.

The problem is, Wilder who is the most experienced champion of the three, hasnt really progressed in regards to quality of opponents.

If we look at Anthony Joshua who made his debut in 2013, he will have Wladimair Klitschko as his 19th fight! Wilder had already fought 20 times when Joshua debuted in 2013 and none of those opponents were a top 5 ranked opponent let alone a top 10. Needless to say, Klitschko was around for Wilder to fight before Joshua came about.

Parker has an upcoming bout against his manadtory challenger Hughie Fury as his very next fight. Parkers opponents are just a step up with each fight so far, theres no voluntary defence, theres no stepping down, its just onwards and upwards. So upward that Parker wanted Wilder after beating Ruiz, but Wilder announced a few days after Parkers request that he was to fight Wawryzk.

Whats Wilder up to now? Well Stirverne has somehow managed a rematch with Wilder. Was this planned by the bomb squad? I ask because Stirverne turned down an elimanation fight with Ortiz stating "Ive got bigger fish to fry". Few weeks later, Stirverne Wilder part 2. It also makes me wonder, if bomb squad wanted only Stirverne to be the mandatory and not a formidable Ortiz. Bottom line, Wilder hasnt really IMO progressed despite the impressive numbers on his record.

There actually has been a progression for Wilder. He has fought Scott, Stiverne, Molina, Duhaupas, Szpilka, Arreola and Washington in his last 8 fights. Thats not that bad of an opponents list.

Theres Ortiz, Parker, Joshua, Haye, Pulev, Klitschko (whose been around for ages). The names Ive mentioned are ranked higher than all those names you mentioned, except for Stirverne who somehow is ranked number 1 in the WBC.

Yes they are ranked higher but Deontay's last 8 fights have progressed a lot from his first 30 for that he deserves credit.

Wilder has had 5 voluntary title fights in a row, a record. Now Wilder will fight Stiverne?! Stiverne is a fat, old, out-of-shape bum................Wilder should fight Ortiz, the winner of Klitschko/Jacobs, Parker, Fury, but no, he will fight another wino from the alley...............Wilder has fought nobody..............

Considering Stirvernes lacklustre boxing career since his one-sided 2015 clash with Wilder. Which since then, Stirverne has only fought once against Rossy where IMO he really didnt look good. And also Strivernes well documented ducking of Ortiz. Why am I going on about Stirverne? Well Stirverne is the highest ranked of all the boxers you have mentioned. Stirverne is Wilders biggest fight to date as far as rankings go cos hes the only top 10 fighter Wilder has fought. You call that a progression? I like Joshua and Parkers progression if thats the case.

    Rebirth? More like afterbirth.
