If the fight goes to purse bids, the Russian billionaire will win as always................he out bid Vlad, Vlad had to fight him in Moscow knowing that Russians hate Ukraine. If Wilder has to fight in Moscow, he will get diarrhea. I do think the Russian billionaire's name is Hurov.............I think Wilder will find a way to get out of the fight with Povetkin for the 3rd time, actually for the fourth time...............

Where do people get this B.S. from? Wilder and his team are the ones who requested and were granted two extensions by the WBC on his mandatory so he could face Duahpaius and Szpilka instead of Povetkin.

These hideous Haymon trannies are ripping into Povetkin's amateur accomplishments now :patsch

Povetkin had already stopped the Egyptian who pulled out of the final in 2 rounds in another tournament. And in the previous round he beat Roberto Cammarelle who is a Olympic gold, silver & bronze medalist, a 2 x world amateur gold medalist + 2 x bronze, and a 3 x European silver medalist. And the reason why Cammerelle hasn't won more golds in some of those major competitions is because he lost to Povetkin 3 or 4 times in them. And in the round prior to facing the Italian Povetkin beat the Kazakh Mukhtarkhan Dildabekov who is a Olympic silver & world amateur silver medalist.

Even the guy Povetkin beat in the first round Sergey Rozhnov was no slouch

By way of contrast, Wilder was matched up against a pair of very poor/average North Africans in his first 2 Olympic bouts and he only scraped by the second one on countback when they finished tied at 10:10. And Wilder was losing up until the final minute when the referee deducted 2 pts of his opponent's score. Wilder was America's last remaining hope of a medal in those games

Wilder only scraped through an Olympic qualifying event by the skin of his teeth too. He won 3 of his 4 wins by razor-close scores. 2 by a single point and the other on countback.

His opponent didn't retire DURING the fight. The fight didn't take place at all. His opponent had an injured hand. It was a walkover. Walkovers mean the fight didn't happen.

So they handed Povetkin the gold.

All the guys in history who won silver medals would've been gold medalists if their opponents didn't show up.

    That's the point.

He never actually fought someone to win the Olympic gold medal.

He never knocked off a reigning champ to win a pro title.

He's won a gold medal for not fighting. And he won a VACANT WBA "Regular" title.

And he's been ASSUMING Wilder will just vacate so he can have the WBC belt, too.

Because THAT'S HOW Povetkin has won his titles. He takes the lesser road.

Well, now he's actually going to have to beat THE REIGNING WBC champ and he'll have to TAKE the title.

    And he's never done that.

    That's the point.

Povetkin's whole pro career has been marketing him as something he isn't. He's 36 years old - about to turn 37. He never beat anyone for the gold medal in the Olympics. He's never knocked off a reigning heavyweight champion for the title. He's an OLD CONTENDER who was already too scaried and backed out of one title fight in his life.

And Povetkin is going to get his head caved in ... if he doesn't back out of this one, too.

Oh boy, Povetkin beat Mariusz Wach in the Amateurs AND Pros. Everyone run for the hills.

Not exactly the same as beating a Wlad Klitschko, Vitali Klitschko, Lennox Lewis, Ridd*ck Bowe, or an Evander Holyfield in the amateurs ... is it?

Povetkin is going to get killed by Wilder ... if Alex doesn't pull out of this title fight like he did before.

He never actually believed he'd have to fight Wilder. Because the path usually gets cleared for him. But not this time.

Is that illegal? Povetkin earlier knocked out the same Egyptian anyway.

Except that Povetkin did show up.

Gold is not won by those who don't show up.

When Persians invaded Greece, Abdera was one if the cities that didn't show up. Sparta, on the other hand, did show up. That's why know about Spartans, and not about Abderans.

    What? :roll::patsch

Do you know how many times people win and lose in the amateurs? How many times did Evander Holyfield lose to Ricky Womack? FOUR?

Winning the gold IN A WALKOVER and backing out of a title fight (after the purse bids) to box for a lesser VACANT REGULAR belt ...

ARE THE TWO BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS of Alexander Povetkin's career. And he's turning 37 this year.

    WILDER KO Povetkin.:hi:

Of course. Povetkin won 125 times, and lost 7 times. Avenged all 7 losses on his way to 2 European golds, 1 world gold and 1 Olympic gold. :good

Who did he "WIN" the Olympic gold against? I tuned in that day, but they didn't show it? Oh yeah, he didn't fight anyone.

The same number of heavyweights he's beaten as a pro who were reigning world champions. ZERO.

And you can take all those amateur wins and you can't find two successful pros out of the whole list.

Finally, I thought your point was if you fight a guy and win you would also win the rematch ... and now you're saying Povetkin lost and avenged those losses in rematches. So a guy can win a rematch if he loses the first time?

I can see consistency isn't important to you.

Where the fack do you get your info ??? You literally just made that bs up.

Povetkin had 2 (TWO) separate chances to fight wilder, povetkin took on a journeyman instead of the first shot then was "injured" and "couldn't) fight, so Wilders team requested the opportunity to fight someone else instead of sitting idly waiting in miss povetkin to grow a pair.

Wilder has been waiting on povetkin since the very second he beat the fack out of barmaine like he never been ***** slapped before.

Povetkin has been praying anyone scores a fluke ko over Wilder so he can jump in to fight someone else for the wbc.

Wlad beat the **** out of him and Wilder is 10x the force wlad could ever be. Povetkin will be destroyed and ko'd truly 30 seconds ko.

It's such a mismatch. I can't decide which is more of a joke, joshua Martin or Wilder povetkin.

Joshua and Wilder are guaranteed winners. Seriously impossible for either to lose. These are truly 2 totally wasted fights.

The true real hw fight is joshua v wilder, the rest of the hw are below, with most being too many levels below to even mattee
