Wilder clearly loves his PEDs, that was all but established after that magical lean bulk gain and loss just for the Fury fight.
You don't just 'hit the gym' and pile on bulk when you feel like it, especially when you're in a cardio sport and have already packed on muscle for the sport.

When they shed all this weight it's highly suspect too.

This is why it's also clear how many PEDs Mike Tyson was on. Because when he fought Jones he was pudgy and weighed a lot less than in his fighting years. No clean athlete gets fatter but also lighter as they get older, it's ridiculous.

Wilder absolutely never ever took 'roids in his life. Wink, wink. Say no more. I tap my nose, you tap your nose and we say nothing to the wifey. It'll be our dirty little secret.

He went 12 tough rounds with the magic man in a razor thin victory, draw or loss whatever you wanna pick then got taken out early in a rematch. He didn't look anywhere near the same guy that's pretty obvious and going up and down in weight affects fighters differently. Tarver was a very good fighter who had attributes which matched up favorably against Jones which naturally plays a huge part. The weight problems and a damn good opponent, both things can co exist. Wilder went what a minute or two against a decent opponent made to order for him. Also Jones weighed in against Ruiz in March 03 at 193 pounds then fought Tarver in Nov 03 at 175 pounds. Whereas Wilder fought Helenius in Oct 22 after being flattened in a valiant effort against Fury a full year earlier in Oct 21. I completely agree his aura of invincibility and superhero like swagger was shattered by that fight and surely that psychological bludgeoning impacted the rematch because we can't use the same excuses of weight draining for the rematch. The real question is would he have swatted Antonio aside if he'd never dared go up and take on Ruiz to become a heavyweight belt holder. No as Lennox likes to remind us he never became The Man but it's a hell of an achievement regardless.

Wilder never moved a single division before buying himself fake steroid muscles. Might be why.

Not to mention the C- heavyweight Helenius tested nothing before getting his jaw shattered.

Jones was obviously declined by the time he fight Clinton Woods. He got hit some in that bout in a way he never would have previously. Then add two more years and the inevitable happened. ATG fighter who got old.

Tarver also was a good fighter so give him credit.

The official weigh in was 2 days before the fight and he came in the fight at 199.
And you can be sure he walked around bigger after that.
Also Tarver 1 he took on fairly short notice for his standard.
It s likely he had to lose 30 lbs in a relatively short time.
