Kabayel is a more technical boxer than him, but his defense is not that good. Wilder had the power to knockout him.

Equally... Kabayel's not much more proven than anyone Wilder beat - and with how unproven or proven mediocre Wilder's victims were, that's saying something.

    Clickbait.

Joshua is the WBC #2 contender. Sulaiman mentioned Kabayel-Joshua first.

No other org rates Joshua that high. The IBF and WBA don't rate Joshua at all. Clearly, the WBC wants Joshua fighting for one of their belts.

Thread should be called "JOSHUA may get WBC interim title shot."

Just people purposely dragging Wilder. Wilder isn't even ranked in the WBC top 10.

Trolls are gonna troll, I guess.

Your talking opportunity for a start. Kabayel has been avoided. He's actually been matched tough because he wasn't even expected to beat Chisora where as Wilder virtually never faced an opponent he wasn't expected to beat. You're contradicting yourself bro.

Wilder has the power to knock anybody out who isn't good enough to defend themself well enough. Kabayel can.

    Not at all.

You can't get proven without fights - it doesn't matter whether you're begging for them (and being avoided) or choosing not to get stuck in.

Kabayel's entire resume is pretty much a 41 year old glass cannon (3-3-1 against top 200 ranked fighters), Chisora, a couple of wildly overhyped prospects... And that's about it.

Is that more proven than Ortiz? Yes, sure.
Is it more proven than Wilder himself? Sure - 1 actual contender trumps none at all.

Just because Kabayel's more proven than anyone Wilder ever beat doesn't mean he's actually all that proven himself - he's not - it just shows how paper thin Wilder's resume always was.

Good lord. Why? Wilder bored with life and wanting to be KO'd again?

Wilder is down at the "fight Jake Paul" level now.

Dude stop, after the top 5 the quality drops off in homogeneous fashion. The top 10 is the top 10. There is no one outside the top 10 as or more proven than Chisora and Zhang

Kabayel looks like he might be decent but people jumping on the bandwagon are basing this on beating two one paced monuments with no engine. That said what wins him this fight is he is big enough to bully Wilder and his chin is good enough to get up. Still, I'd love to see the genie get out of the bottle for one last gunfight at the KO Coral....

Man, the way I see it, Dubois, Parker and Kabayel have beyond earned a shot at Usyk.

If they get the opportunity to fight names whilst they wait, let them.

I'm ok with Parker vs AJ and Kabayel vs Wilder whilst we see Usyk v Dubois.

If Wilder was in his prime I could defo see him knocking Kabayel out early as Kabayel's defense isn't the best. But now, Wilder is a complete shell of the fighter he was and Kabayel will bust and break Wilder's body.

I'm surprised Wilder would even want this fight, he should retire.

Find yourselves a woman that loves you the way the WBC loves Wilder.

And whose fault is it that Kabayels resume is like that? Kabayels waited for a title shot for about 8 years. Fury/Wilder/Joshua/Usyk are the main reason there are so few contenders running around for guys to beat. Usyk himself has beaten 4 so Kabayels halfway there. Whose to say Frank Sanchez wouldn't be a contender if not for that? Ortiz and Wilder had more title contender wins than Kabayel before fighting for the belt because they had more to beat.

For someone who hadn't fought for the title Kabayels resume is one of the best in recent decades. Hes got 8 regional title wins and won the EBU/NABF and NABO. Not many contenders whose scalps you'd value are fighting at the EBU/NABF level. Your looking at it the wrong way.

Wilder was a world champion, sometimes a real one, sometimes not, with 10 official title defenses. The very fact that you can argue someone who just fought for their first world title has a better resume is a positive thing.
