Deontay Wilder may prove to be even worse than Seth Mitchell

Wilder does have many flaws but his power and athleticism still make him a serious contender imo, he covers distance really well, has a quick left jab and his right hand can knock out just about anyone if he lands it.

If he starts setting his shots up properly and stops looking for the KO he can definitely be a titleholder in the future.

 

I don't think this is fair to Wilder. Even if he has the chin of Mitchell he will still be better because of his height, reach, and speed. Wilder easily matches Mitchell for power and he throws his punches straighter too (accept when he has an opponent hurt and he can't contain his excitement).

They should make Wilder vs Fury and the winner gets a shot at Wlad. That isn't going to happen though because too many fans would like to see it.

I doubt if Wilder has one straight punch..................Wilder has been protected much more than Mitchell was................Wilder refused to fight Thompson or Chisora. Fury would knock Wilder out, I would pick Hughie Fury over Wilder. Wilder's people will not even put him into a right with Jennings! Watch Wilder sparring with Haye, Wilder looked drunk. Vlad knocked Wilder down with a jab and beat him from one side of the ring to another while sparring for the Wach fight. I would pick Wach to knock Wilder out............Wilder's people are just waiting for the WBC to actually give him the title for not fighting, then Wilder will have a huge rematch with Sconiers..........

The big test of any heavyweight is what happens when they get hit back. Price looked good until he ran into Thompson, and Mitchell looked decent until he ran into Banks and Arreola.

Until he gets hit, he's a complete unknown quantity.
