Deontay Wilder: Mike Tyson criticizing me because he's jealous and scared of being forgotten

The man is delusional , on par with Charlie Z.

Wilder an Tyson should never be mentioned in the same sentence again. Unless it's tyson fury ..

 

Tyson would have rip Wilder's head in another galaxy with one clean left hook in one round. I would bett my house on it.

 

While Mike tyson was a million times better in his prime than wilder, wilder still could have a point. Some old the old champions do come across as salty that they are no longer in the lime light.

 

I've grown to dislike Tyson over the last few years for several reasons.

(1) He is jealous of other young fighters like Floyd and Wilder. He even said that Wilder and Joshua should not fight WTF! and the fool said that Floyd is a scared little man because he has security around him wherever he goes even though he knows pretty much anyone in America can get hold of a gun.

(2) He has become a media puppet especially to the ******ed UFC crowd. I hold him partly responsible for how big the UFC has become in America. When you brutally dispatch overmatched opponents within the first 4 rounds, blood thirsty fans get used to that and this was a perfect opportunity for the UFC at the time.

(3) He has a self righteous holier than thou attitude. Being abusive towards Pacquiao for his beliefs towards gays and calling a reporter a piece of **** after bringing up his **** conviction.

Tyson would not even make it into my top 40 p4p list of boxers since records began.

Tyson transcend boxing. Along with Ali, they are the most recognised faces and names in the world. Not just in he sport of boxing. They will never be forgotten.

 

I don't think Tyson is jealous, he seems more embarrassed by wilder I think. He was very complimentary about Joshua recently after the big fight. I think he just likes exciting fighters that actually impress. I think he had a few good reasons to trash mayweather a bit, he deserved it saying he was better than Ali plus there is bad blood etc but I guess that's down to who you support.

I think Tyson comes accross pretty well these days, a few odd moments but it's preferable to where he was going. He seems genuinely funny in some interviews and reflective in others, what more do you want from an ex champ that was near destructing his life? He got cartoons, roadshows and beat crippling addictions, and now wants a bit of acceptance is all, you can't blame the man for mellowing out a bit and trying to appeal to the mainstream a little.

 

Isnt Mike Tyson one of the few who has said fighters get better over time and today are bigger and stronger with being more athletic and harder to fight? Wilder is bitter because Tyson has chose Joshua over him.I still find it laughable in SOME vids that anyone can actually make a case ffor wilder being favored over Joshua bc he can PUNCH....dont they understand its not just about hitting hard? these are the same guys that tell you its aout skills?

Really not for nothing but if wilder wasnt american and from else where? He wouldnt have the following he does,he would probably be ranked below Whyte without a belt in most ppls eyes if not at least a 50/50 fight. People really don't know what they are talking about on some of these boxing channels /you tube/ Twitter...etc...lol

Have you guys CHECKED Wilders resume since?????Didnt Tyson hit the nail on the head? Is Tyson wrong in stating he may not be ready for Joshua with his past performances from then to now ?

 

Tyson is more than just a boxing icon, he's a pop culture icon now. Wilder is nobody outside of hardcore box fans. lol look the wilder fan club is gonna let loose on how much Tyson sucks now.

 

True, but I can also understand what he's meaning. Tyson went to the hoods by himself, without bodyguards or friends. That's where he felt home. He was untouchable, could walk with a sports bag full of money and everyone respected him. This was back in the time when the hoods were actually tough, not like today.

 

Lots of people in boxing say Wilder is not technically sound. No reason to single out Mike for this.

 

From time to time people will ask "whos the youngest heavyweight champion of the world?", and so Mike Tyson wont be forgotten till some younger boxer tops him on that. Mike Tysons highlight reel makes him outstanding when compared to other great champions as hes shorter, well built and has a distinctive style. Its hard to forget Tyson.

Tyson use to be the undisputed heavyweight champion and it only took him 2 and a half years to do unify all the belts. Wilder whos been boxing for 9 years only has one belt which hes held for 2 years now. I dont think Tyson would be jealous of Wilders career or boxing ability.

AJ is 19-0 and is on the verge of being a global superstar. If he can hold it down for then next 5 years and that would involve beating Tyson Fury then as Tyson Fury says...he probably could become a billionarre.

All he has to do is attract the American audience and beat Fury...hell he doesn't even have to beat Fury...just fight a close fight...then we can get a trilogy. Ali Frazier of the modern superheavys. OH god PLEASE GIVE US IT!

Yeah but Tyson never had that Mayweather money. Besides Floyd is much more flamboyant and with a nickname like 'money' all the bottom feeders would love an opportunity to get some of that Mayweather money.

No one is untouchable. Tyson cant bob and weave an incoming bullet, he ain't Neo. Lol wasn't it Tyson that Mitch Green rolled up on while he was out shopping at some ungodly hour of the night. Its ironic that in that scuffle, it was Tyson's entourage (same as Floyds security) that saved his ass after he broke his hand on the first punch without even knocking down Mitch Green.

When people know you have money and you come with a reputation, it attracts criminals like bees to honey. Case in point Floyds rented money team van getting touched in Birmingham England and Kim Kardashian getting robbed in Paris.
