Doesn't matter if he faced Big George in a big ring or a swimning pool - he's taking a nap.

I would have loved to see Wilder vs Louis..Both men could win that contest.

Whoever lands the first big bomb.

It would be a great match up, both similar in size speed etc.

I would give HH a shout easily, I remember Bowe when asked who hit him the hardest and he said Herbie Hide.

    Yeah, man, right on!

Wilder vs Ali would be cool too. Whoever lands the big bomb could win it!!!!

    Hyuk, hyuk!

Wouldn't see the end of the third round, IMO. If anything, it would resemble Tyson vs Spinks.

Most of us with common sense probably realise that, against the Ali of 1964 to 1967 prime, Wilder would never land that one big bomb. Cus D'Amato was once quoted as saying of that era of Ali's career, "Back then, the only time anyone ever touched Ali was when Ali and his opponent touched gloves to start their fight."

In a dream fight scenario against the Ali of 1964-67 vintage (from the first Liston fight to the Folley fight), Wilder's propensity to open his mouth before putting his brain in gear would see him mouth off at the prime Ali, proclaiming that Ali would be "easy work". Ali would probably respond by deriding Wilder as an Uncle Tom and a windmilling bum, and in a fight would utterly bewilder, embarrass, emasculate and humiliate Wilder just as bad as Ali humiliated Ernie Terrell and Jack Johnson humiliated Tommy Burns.

Absolutely. Wilder would gas himself out just trying to land on Ali and would look like a bowl of cocoa puffs by the end bell.

Think you're underestimating Nichols a bit here. I think he could gut it out until the late rounds if he was given enough notice and he was switched on. Shame he can't replicate the form he shows in the gym in a real fight. He's electric behind closed doors.

Nichols and Wilder's name will forever be linked.

    Let that sink in

We should start a go fundme page for Nichols so he can give up his bartending job for a few months, get him up to Big Bear with Abel, get him down to 320 lbs and then see who is the ring king after Nichols slays him again

It's astonishing that, up until now, he's never actually faced anyone who poses a genuine threat to him. Put it this way: until I see Wilder and Ortiz in the ring together and hear the bell ring to signal the start of round 1, I'll remain slightly dubious of the fight coming to fruition.
