It obviously isn't. A guy who struggles with Molina, Duhaupas, Sconiers, and Szpilka has no business sharing a ring with the third best heavyweight in the world.

CST80 is an awesome poster, but everyone has their blind spots. How he can not see that Wilder is a complete fraud is beyond me.

I know I was just messing with you.:D

Povetkin is somewhat on the slow side, he tends to be a plodder at times, he has short arms and is anything but awkward, he's overall a fairly rudimentary fighter, he usually gasses a little when truly pushed or if he has to push the pace, in spite of what seems to be the prevailing notion his chin is questionable, he was hurt several times by Huck and if Wlad really tried he could have finished him off. Wilder-Povetkin won't look entirely dissimilar from Wilder-Stiverne only I'm not sure that Povetkin can hold up to the constant barrage of straight rights he'll be eating from the faster harder hitting far more agile Wilder the whole night.

Wilder has every physical advantage, reach, speed, power, mobility, and yes when wants to use it, a better jab.

Wilder will not want to engage Povetkin will be all too eager to engage, he'll try to walk Wilder down and Wilder will retreat and jab over and over again, and since Povetkin isn't great at fighting tall guys with a good jab, and that will be the case once again.

I'm not sayin Wilder is some ATG, but Povetkin isn't either, Wilder would have dispatched Takam, Perez, Wach and especially Charr in similar fashion.

Agreed .Wilder is all wrong for POV. Povetkin will have to come forward and will eat a lot of shots .not good when Wilder is throwing them.

    Yeah, right

He almost got KTFO by Molina. Takam, Perez and Wach all have a great chance to beat Wilder.

IF Wilder uses his reach and keeps Povetkin at bay it could be somewhat easy. But in reality Wilder does not usually fight that...

Fuk, this is such a interesting fight if/when it happens.

He did win an olympic bronze so it wasn't that shabby. Anyway say I agree with you, that still means him saying this is an 'easy' fight is total BS.

What is he supposed to say? He says it's easy then people call him a liar or set expectations that, if he doesn't reach, they will judge him poorly. If he says it's a difficult then people say he's doubting himself.

Those who hate him will subconsciously find a way to hate him, and vice versa to those who like him. This applies to anyone.

Can't wait to see this fight.

Huck didnt hurt Povetkin. The Russian was just totally out of puff after a handful of rounds. His stamina was pathetic.I for one still had him ahead on points in an adminttingly close fight.Povetkin connected with with the far more telling punches wheres Huck's fists found their target more often.
Wilder would have dispatched Takam,Perez,Wach and escpecially Charr in similar fashion.
I dont think so.Sure,Charr wouldnt have able to go the full route with Wilder.I quite agree with you as far as Charr is concerned.Takam? I dont think that Wilder would have knocked him out.I even doubt somehow that Wilder would have won that fight in the first place.Wach?Would have probably gone the 12 full rounds with Wilder.
Perez?? I bet my house that Wilder wouldnt have been able to take him out of action in the very first round.Damn! If Molina and Duhaupas can make the water hot for Wilder,so can Perez. He could even have beaten Wilder.Who knows!!

Are you sure about that? I seem to remember that Povetkin won the punch count by a razor thin margin.

I thought tha Povetkin narrowly but clearly won the fight of the year.

I believe that Povetkin is his most difficult opponent to date. Slightly more difficult than Stiverne even.

Has Wilder thought up an excuse yet to:

    1. Not SIGN up to the fight
    2. Not FLY to Russia
    3. Not ENTER the ring?

I am sure at some point he will think of something...to stop this fight going ahead. He can then take a voluntary defence against Charlie Z- I am sure loads of his ra/cist black American fans will love it and cheer him to the roof tops as he beats up a meth head inside 1 round...just like the HW champion of the world should.

I believe Wilder thinks this will be easy because he'll be able to land when he needs to. He doesn't expect Povetkin to come in trying to survive rounds like Molina and Szpilka (not saying that wasn't a smart strategy). Wilder wouldn't have to try to create offense from a boxer fighting negatively (this is why those fights were good experience for him). Povetkin is going to be coming right at Wilder and will be there to be hit.
Povetkin's only hope is that Wilder is as bad as his haters say he is but he'll find out quickly that is not the case. That's why the fight is in Russia and at the end of May to give him enough time to prepare and realize as many advantages as possible for the fight of his life.
