I remember being at three high profile heavyweight debuts and they all in many ways remind me of Deontays.. They are all similar, Opponent being there just to provide a service as sacraficial lamb (not being cruel) Huge effort by the debutant to be patient and relax, and a reletive early finish.. I was at Lennox Lewis's debut, Dominick Guinns debut and Henry Akinwandes debut , they all look very similar, and i am reletively impressed by the young mans approach, he will i hope aspire to being a somebody one day.
AT cruiserweight... he could be extraoridnary... 6'7, 200 pounds with power... He could be the Tommy Hearns/Paul Williams/Celestino Caballero/ or Kingsley Ikeke of that division... And once that experience comes, then he should make his move to heavy..
I see what you're saying, it's definetly too early to tell. He could end up to be like a Lennox Lewis or become a Guinn. I am hoping he is successful. It seems you know quite a bit about the Heavyweights and have had much experience.
That has nothing to do with that. Heavyweights have just gotten bigger over the years. The 80's Heavy's who fought 15 rounds are bigger than the Heavy's in the 50's and before.
