Meh...a misdemeanor. He should pay the fine and be entirely unrepentant. Use it to raise his profile. Smoking a little weed is no crime.

 

For someone who prides themselves on being a clean athlete and who's accused others of drug use in the past this is a reaalllly bad look for Deontay. He's put himself on a pedestal with his recent stands, and that means he's held to a higher account than others who choose to just remain silent or be themselves. Most people don't give a toss about weed, but you can't take a holier than thou attitude and not expect people to get on your case at the first sign of a slip up.

 

We talked about Deontay's change in appearance already. He looks like he's hanging with a different crew now, maybe they do drugs and the peer pressure is getting to Deontay.

Cops do not like walking up to a car with dark tinted windows and noone would because you cannot see what is going on inside the car. cops get killed every year on traffic stops. that is why the legislatures put the law on the books against cars with a visibility that is dangerous to the cops. they don't want to be killed anymore than anyone else. as pertains to the searching the vehicle, in most jurisdictions that is an arrestable offense therefore the cop needs no consent to search as the search is incident to arrest. also the supreme court has ruled that an officer may search a vehicle's interior without consent...meaning any area that a person could jump or reach and obtain a weapon contemporaneous to the stop. this would not include a locked glove compartment however. it does include unlocked glove compartments and under seats etc. it is concerned with officer safety and nothing else.

They do test for weed in boxing. I for one hope he fights Joshua, Klitschko or Povetkin. I'd rather see him smoked inside the ring, then arrested outside of it as he is a belt milker and cherry picker...no one is worse.

 

How I see it, Wilder is just doing this to avoid being in the ring and take even more time away from the ring.
