Because most people and in particular young black men have no da.mn clue what their rights are. He was pulled over because his tints were too dark which are a violation in Bama. Now if theres a smell or weed or not the police officer can lie about that so he can search but you still have to consent to it. Not complete sure as laws vary by state. I think its pathetic that people are getting arrested for a little bit of weed. Unless he was actually under the influence the arrest is a joke. The cop is just jealous that a black guy is a millionaire and hes stuck at a dead end job risking his life for crap pay and many people dont like him based on his chosen profession.

They should mandate that, as part of a suspended sentence plea bargain, he should be forced to fight Povetkin as a form of poetic justice.

He's not going to jail for pot. That's not how it works in the states, unless he was caught trafficking an insane amount of ganja.

It's a bad look for him; hopefully this won't cause much of a delay for his next fight. He really needs to stay active and step up his level of competition. That Parker fight should be the only thing he's focused on after he's done with this case.
