Exactly. How anyone can defend Wilder is beyond me. I remember when Tyson was coming up. Less than two years into his career, he was facing guys like Trevor Berbick for a title. Wilder is over five years and 30 fights into his fraudulent career and he has yet to face anybody as good as Jesse Ferguson - who Tyson fought less than a year into his career. Wilder is a fraud who's hiding a glass jaw by facing bar drunks and homeless people. When he fights a live body, he will be predictably destroyed.
Hey being homeless can make you tough , I'd say homeless in the final stages of aids is more accurate
I can't argue! I've been following boxing for 35 years, and I don't ever recall seeing a hyped fighter facing such pathetic opposition for this long. Wilder is just now facing guys - over 5 years into his career - that most fighters face in their first year or two as a pro. And there's a reason for this. His management KNOWS he can't take a punch.:deal
We already know Wilder is packing glass, and we already know that if Mike was truly pissed, he would knock Wilder out in about 30 seconds.
I know the Scott dive was the final straw with given him a chance of being the real deal , the punch there saying made him dizzy was actually a slap with the soft part of the glove and the other didn't connect Your telling me firths can stand up to him landing hayemakers for four rounds but Scott can't get up from that? It's lucky Scott doesn't play soccer because he would get knocked out every time he heads te ball at that rate
When Stivern lands a counter right or left hook like he did with Arreola on Wilders dome... Wilder won't know what f**king year it is during the post fight interviews. I can't wait
Wilder was initially marketed a talented but humble young man who worked a 9 to 5 day job for his handicapped daughter, and who knew both his talent and his need for improvement as a bronze medalist. As he has padded his record with opponents chosen to lose over 5 pointless years, we have now watched him inappropriately and ridiculously call out the great Mike Tyson, hit the canvas from professional opponents and awful carnival fat men, display a huge and inappropriate ego with his stupid "bomb squad" catch phrase and his "call out" of Bermain Stiverne, and beat up a hookers in Vegas. The fact is, he is only partially talented, not humble at all, criminal, and left to his own devices, not even particularly marketable. I honestly believe that Tyson could give him a run for his money right now.
to be fair, wilder dealt with firtha with much more ease than did fury. that being said, they are both overprotected hype jobs.
Wilder is ****ing hopeless. Tyson used to spar with MUCH better fighters than Wilder in Oliver McCall/Greg Page etc. Forget all about Wladimir, Wilder has zero chance there, and David Haye anihalates him too. Then the next level of heavys likes of David Price, Chisora, Fury, Tony Thompson I'd favour all of them to beat Wilder and I'd pick a Price to do it inside 2 rounds.
Pity this fight with Stiverne won't be until the end of the year or early 2015. We already have another round of Fury/Chisora threads to suffer, and if Haye comes back there will be a years worth of drama threads going down until he fights someone or retires again.
WTF? First time seeing Gavern atsch I'm not in the shape I used to be and have less of a spare tire than Jason G There can only be ONE reason a large HW with a big punch is fighting a landscaper 30+ fights & 5 years into his boxing career - and his mgt didn't even want to give that kind of opposition a month to prepare :-(
