He'd probably let Wilder lead and counter and beat him to the punch. Wilder has some mobility, but not the mobility of a Billy Conn.

Let me ask you this, if Wilder landed flush on Louis and floored him and he was able to get up like he did vs Buddy Baer, how would you rate Wilder's chances then? Because I'll tell you, personally, if Louis gets caught flush and can quickly recover like he usually did, I think he'd pick Wilder apart and stop him conclusively.

At world level any heavyweight has a chance, however slim, of beating any other with a little luck, but I'd be willing to bet at least my car on Louis. One of the sloppiest heavyweights I've ever seen vs the one who is hands down the most skilled and economical I've ever seen, without exception.
To favor Wilder you'd have to prepared to posit some really outlandish premise with a straight face, like "Wilder hits so much harder that blocking and parrying would be next to useless".

There’s a huge skill disparity here.
Wilder’s only hope would be if he managed to land one of those haymaker right hands.
Sure Wilder has a couple of physical advantages but not enough to make up for that massive gap in class.

people are overrating Joshua and Wilder .. They are so far from being called ATG fighters. It will take at least 5 years of fighting the best and winning.

Wilder would be a decent sparring partner, he could not even ice the loud mouth when he sparred him and that guy wasn't a pro, Joe takes wilder apart

Wilder isn't even good enough to be in Joe Louis' "bum of the month" club.

Every vid shows slow shuffeling and the occasional quick back foot movement but he doesnt cover distance very fast he does it slowly rnd by rnd. im sure ive studied louis more than anyone on here,im sure no one on this forum has watched literally 10 hrs a day on him at times like i have.

lets get back to whats going on here...you are comparing a 6'7 elusive guy to louis who was not a swarmer nor movable fighter bc he kept distance to his opponents.once thats irrupted hes not louis of of high lite reels...we both know this. ...

so at the end of the day how does Louis defeat wilder, well he would have have wilder standing still and in one spot. could this happen? well yea but so could Wilders over hand right before louis gets set ,both are slow starters . louis's head is literally a target to get hit by a competant puncher ,and those guys dont show me much. they are satying hit me with little head movement standing straight up and not throwing anything in the pocket.

They would all get knocked out by wilder in rnd one and i know this bc i have been in ring wiith guys who are by far more skilled and tell me fiorst hand how wilder punches..if i was fighting like those guys i deserve to be knocked out if im totally hoinest ,very primitive skills that i see.

Cant see the actual match up swaying in louis's favor to the much longer lanky and elusive wilder.Im not sure what your watching but Louis's hands are very low its on video???The ones you showed and in most of his fights?? How cant you see that? lol

Do you know Jack Johnson was the first to notice that Louis was open to counter right hands all day and that was when ppl started actually studying fighters,he told Shmelling that and boom ...k.o win for max. Hes doing it all the time.

Have you read what those who shared the ring with Louis, and I am talking about top rated heavies, had to say about him?

And who is this "they" that all get KO'd in one round? Obviously not the great Artur Spykila. I guess he would wax Joe, too.

Anyone else think this guy is going out his way to get more publicity?

eg just saying stuff to **** people off so that they tune in to watch him get KTFO - therefore making more money

So Artur Szpilka embarrasses Wilder for most of the fight with his movement and yet Louis may have trouble with Wilder?
    Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiightio then.
