I like Alabama Bam-bam, he's fast, mobile and can hit pretty darn hard. I don't expect him to dominate the division but he does make it more interesting. I thought he might make something of himself when he medalled in the Olympics despite more or less being a novice. I don't think he had a background as extensive as Glazkov but we can see he's already surpassed Czar. I'd pick Wilder as a big favorite over Glazkov and Andy Ruiz while being a slight favorite over Tyson Fury. Interesting prospective match ups for him Ruiz would be easiest and possibly a broadcast television event on Spanish-speaking television while Fury would most likely be the most lucrative if the fight took place in the United Kingdom.

Poor Jennings even Wilder doesn't give him a chance.

"If Klitschko fights like he's supposed to fight, he might get him real bad," said Wilder, who is a former sparring partner of Klitschko's. "This might be the end of Bryant Jennings. Klitschko isn't even worried about him. This is the most calm I have ever seen him in his interviews."

If Vlad fights like he has been in sparring, Jennings will be in some real trouble. Vladimir is not Perez, Jennings had never fought anyone in Vlad's class, nor anyone even near it..................

I am going on record on as many threads as possible saying that Wilder's first defense will be against Holyfield, Bowe, or Ruddock...probably Ruddock now that he is officially back.

Povetkin is the #1 contender and it should not even be a question...and yet Wilder turned that down cold. Be prepared for old timer's night. You heard it here first.

It's been a minute now. We should know who he fighting by this time right?
Wilder has a title, and has now been shelved to some extent.
No he should not be fighting tomorrow, but we should have an opponent name at least to keep the buzz going for him.

I don't think Haymon is positive who to put him in with, and wants someone with the best combination of marketability with a low risk.
I think Haymon wants to build him into a superfight with Wlad.
At the same time if one of his other "prospects" (Washington, Breazeale, or Martin) looks at any point ready to topple Wilder, then I suspect they will be given the oppurtnity if another year passes, and there is no Wlad fight.
Haymon will protect him from other promotions and their fighters, but not his own IMO.
Haymon just wants to keep the WBC belt. I don't really think he cares if Wilder is the guy with that strap as long as he controls the guy who wears it.
So yeah Wilder will be in a tough fight or 2 if he does not end up with a Wlad fight in the next 12 months.

Wilder's very next fight will likely be hand picked though.
