    My boy know.

People gotta know, get that straight 2013, baby

  3. Look at the Wilder fanboys, its not about hating. The guy needs to fight 12 rounders and better opposition. SIMPLES

Wilder has a glass jaw, his handlers know it, which is why they only feed him tomato can after tomato can. The sad thing is, even some of these stiffs have put this joke on ***** street.

Bute had/has a lot of haters, for very similar reasons to Wilder.....he fought weak opposition. When he finally stepped up, he got crushed.

Same will happen to Wilder. :deal

He's hyped up by a very small but very loyal cadre of fans (who may just be members of his own team) who ignore or sugarcoat his terrible opposition, and ascribe to him skills which he's not demonstrated against anyone remotely approaching a decent level.

They also seem to think he's in the same bracket as genuine prospects like Price and Fury, consistently mock said fighters for their lack of "athleticism" (whatever that means), criticise them for taking on fighters they've never heard of (and thus think are no good), and post gifs of Fury punching himself in the face.

Fair enough on that last point, but come on.

It's the Scott Gilfoid effect, I should be hyped about a big guy who has 20 odd straight knock outs and is that size but I can't help wanting him to lose to see his article on it.

Who is hyping him? I've asked this throughout the week in the other thread and no one would answer me or even Bama on the subject apart from reverting back to how they think he's arrogant and a *** ect, it's just plain hating at it's fullest.

What is with the brits and euros constantly bringing this guy up and having to compare him to Fury or even Price?

We compare him to Fury and Price to refute the comparison, since at the moment he's simply not on their level.

Wilder isn't hyped in the same way that someone like Broner is hyped, but he's certainly got a lot of undeserved praise from large segments of the boxing community. His continual refusal to step it up, though, has led many to cool their flag waving of late.

You're right though. People talk about him too much.

To put it straight, I have not once even mentioned here or supported the idea that Wilder was on the level of either, he is completely unknown to the media in comparison to both the profiles of Price & Fury.

I still don't get this large segments of the boxing community, aside from articles from an obscure boxing writer, no mainstream outlet or say one of the bigger voices has really put the hype train on him. He had been complimented in brief by Steward and Wlad to drop two in, but again, no major cosign or anything.
