I love Wilders killer instinct. There's no one in the sport right now that goes for the kill like that when someone even remotely stunned by a shot other than maybe Matthysse. He's improved a ton from a couple years back too, got the left working much better, stiff jab and starting to develop his left hook, his balance has gotten better too. I think he's ready for a top 20 type guy. I'm hyped to see more of him.

Mostly just from Zakman, who sees glass mandibles everywhere he looks.

If you delete his posts, then most of the negatives are simply that he is taking too long to step up.

Good point though about the 24/24 thing. Wilder is clearly in a different league than every opponent he's faced to date. And this IS a problem, because he's not gaining the experience he needs. (Real fights are very different from sparring.) he's also likely developing or reinforcing bad habits, because his opposition isn't good enough to capitalize on those bad habits.

If I were his management, and had the juice to do it, I'd have stepped him up a year ago to some top-20 fighters. He's either ready or he isn't. I don't see what will change after another 4-5 easy fights. Feed him a "top bum" like Adamek. He'd win easily, and instantly have more popular recognition.
    Heck, feed him Chisora.
    Now.

Don't you have a little compassion though for guys like Maddalone?
Guys like him basically get Ko'd for a living. It's brain damage city.
My idea was to put Wilder in with Shane Cameron. Cameron is still dangerous and coming off a one punch KO win.

Maddalone is coming of a beating from Fury and a few fights previous was beat up and stopped by Adamek. Wilder would brutally stop Maddalone and it wold prove nothing. Vinny already been KO'd 5 times. He should honestly retire.

Shane Cameron though. That's a decent test.

    Wilder is good. Speed,power,athleticism.
He was put down once very early in the career. He has since learned to not be reckless,he has confidence and no fear. I think he has a future. the only reason people hate on him is because he was put down once a hundred years ago. Hey,it's HW boxing. People are gonna go down. The important thing was that he got up off the floor and won by KO.
