Bulking up a boxer is not really a wise thing to do in my opinion. I think a good next step for Wilder would be Pedro Rodriguez, who gave Magomed Abdusalamov a challenging fight until Mago KOed him. Rod has some decent skills for a fighter at kind of the lower levels of the sport and he probably could give Wilder some rounds to work.
Two questions that need to be answered are: What happens when he faces an oppoent who can take his power and what heppens when he takes a flush shot from a good strong heavyweight?
I cannot say yes or no if he is the future of the division. The heavyweight division is actually going to be quite interesting in the future. The Klitschkos aren't going to last forever and +36 and +40 years of age definitely means they are in the twilight of their careers. A lot of interesting opponents for Wilder: Alexander Dimitrenko Vyachslav Glazkov Kubrat Pulev David Rodriguez David Price Magomed Abdusalamov He needs to fight somebody like those to make a statement about who he is as a boxer.
The two untested guys(Mago and el Nino) are too strong to for the untested Wilder. Plus, he basically would get little cred in beating them). Pulev is world class already. That would be a tough hill to climb. Glaskov.....that's a fight I could see Wilder getting due praise for winning, and it's a very winnable fight too. Price.....like Fury said, it's a fight that needs to be held back until it's for the world title. Dimitrenko...pretty sure he's retiring, but yeah, that would be a great fight for either victor. I think Dimitrenko has been exposed, but he does have a tough style to crack. He would certainly test Wilder. I'd really like to see Wilder go some rounds. McCall would take him the distance, as would Guinn. Beating either of those guys would catapult him into the top 20 and both would test his beard. I'd also like to see Wilder fight Holmes or Scott. Both have great records and both are trying to get into contention. A win win for whoever comes out on top. Fres Oquendo is looking for a fight right now. Wilder made such easy work of Manswell, theres no doubt in my mind he could easily make that fight and like Guinn or McCall, that win would put him right in the contender soup. Dimitrenko McCall Guinn Holmes Scott Oquendo Any 2-3 of those guys and Wilder's ready for a Blevel top contender like Pulev, Solis, Haye, Adamek, Wach, Fury Luckily for American fightfans, if theyre Wilder fans, he's got a pretty large promoter and could make these fights happen.:thumbsup
Im very impressed with him I know Manswells lost and been KO'd but i dont think he has been totally blown out of the water like that he has a bomb of a right hand and his jab foot work and fluidity seem a lot better sort of reminds me of young Wlad at this stage
Really?? I did not know that. Who knocked him down?? Yeah that is not a good sign. The man can punch for sure. He feel he could fight the top guys already and even KO Wlad. But I'm afraid he may have a egg chin. Is he a Heavyweight Paul Williams?? I don't know why but tall thin guys like him always seems to have a weak chin. I'm afraid Fury may have a weak chin too.
i speak to him on twitter once and a while. hes really a cool dude. he always responds to my tweets. not many people do that. he told me its all part of the game plan, y they r moving him so slo'. u got to read his tweets on twitter. hes a smart mofo. i really think they know what they r doing. fo' real
Thanks for mentioning OG Malik. My man appreciates it. He schools Wilder with ease. Wilder is horribly flawed and his chin is china. Makaveli rips Wilder to shreds and humiliates him. So do Joe Hanks and Irineu Beato Costa Junior. These guys have a combined record of 65-0 and are my tips to dominate the HW division in future. :good
