He's not suicidal. It's the Stiverne rematch, which is at least winnable.

Haye posted about an hour ago that there would be a big announcement tomorrow morning. I think this may be about Bellew vs Haye.

What is the point of Wilder even saying this? How many 'big' announcements does he have to make?

Yea you're right. At least Haye gave us the timescale for when his fight will be announced (Tomorrow).. Wilder has been saying "Return is Near" "BIG announcement soon" since April.

How anyone can criticize the Wlad fight, is beyond me.
    And Pulev is his mandatory.

The way Haye said that left me an impression that he's found a great vegan salad recipe and wants everyone to try it or something like that.

Looking forward to the Stiverne rematch myself. Deontay would be too dangerous for that body builder Joshua. Eddie needs to protect that guy, because he's gonna get wrecked against the devastating bronze bomber!

At least Wilder used to be active. I wasn't too mad back when he was fighting top 15/20 hws three time a year. Now it looks like it will be at least 8 months since his last fight, and he'll probably have gone 16 months with only one fight. PLUS still non top ten opponents. PLUS he's setting an all time record for weak defenses of a major belt. PLUS he turned down a decent fight for huge money that only an idiot would turn down. So yeah, now there's really nothing to like about him at the moment.

Yeah, people forget that Stiverne was busted for being a drug cheat a couple weeks before Povetkin. His last meaningful win was against a declining Arreola well over three years ago now. Stiverne belongs no where near the mandatory spot. I used to think the WBC was an underrated org, but it's inexcusable to make Stiverne mandatory and then just keep him there for over half a year without at least getting it over with.

And Wlad is still one of the top heavyweights. That fight was universally seen as a step up for Joshua. Even at 42, Wlad is the best opponent Joshua has faced in the pro ranks.
And we are not here to argue as to why Pulev is the mandatory.
Should Joshua just give up that belt?
