This thread is titled "Deontay Wilder The Return is Near". Forgive me, i have made the mistake of believing Wilder may have been at least part of the discussion in this thread. Nevertheless we both make a fair point regarding our comments. Ortiz is the seemingly more dangerous fighter, however i imagine Hearn would rather not go that way, for me Joshua clearly isnt afraid of fighting anyone having taking on Klitschko in his 19th fight. I imagine AJ would have no problem in getting in with either of them. He has also been granted an exemption for the Pulev fight for the rematch against Wlad on the condition he faces Pulev next, thats my understanding anyway, i may be wrong i havent read into it in much detail, but as far as i know he has to fight Pulev next, i dont know what the WBA have said, if anything, regarding Ortiz in terms of his mando position. Wilder has had 5 voluntaries so for anyone to remark on what mando Joshua will face should also take the view that Wilder has been given a bizarrely easy ride in terms of mandos by the WBC. And whenhe has faced these voluntaries, it would be kidding yourself to believe that he has done anything but cherry pick the easiest nights work possible for him. He wasnt trying to get the top level of comp in, he was fighting Arreola, Molina, Washington etc.
