Stop the ****ing presses! Fat Matt Greer went EIGHT WHOLE ROUNDS with Brian 'who?' Minto! Fat and old former MIDDLEWEIGHT Toney beat the guy. You're grasping desperately.

I don't have any problem with folks knocking Wlder's opposition.

His opposition sucks. We know this.

    - but I have a HUGE problem with keyboard warrior morons who:

1: Blame this opposition on Wilder himself, who's been calling out good fighters for over 2 years.

2: Say that he has no skills, or even more amazingly, that all he has is an OH right.
Are you people ****ing blind, or just assholes? I can't figure it out.

Well, no worries. Manny Steward thought Wilder would be the next heavyweight champ, (It's on record. ring Magazine, 2012) and I'd rather keep his company (RIP) that yours.

But HOLY ****, the level of DKSAB-ness some of you posess is STAGGERING.

True. Look at the fighters Greer has on his resume:

    James Toney!
    Denis Boytsov!
    Brian Minto!
    Kevin Johnson!
    Mike Jones!
    Deontay Wilder!

That's a killer resume right there. In essence, by beating Greer, he's beaten all the rest as well, including himself, which, ah, is a bit of a conundrum, but I'm sure his team can work around it. :thumbsup

He's also not content hiding out in Europe fighting for meaningless titles. It's America baby, where all the good heavyweights are doing important things! :thumbsup

As you rightly state, Wilder has a better jab than the heavyweight champion of the world.

What you say is valid. However:

1: Wilder needs to assert himself if he feels he's truly ready to SERIOUSLY step things up. If his management really won't let him, one has to ask: why is that?

2: Wilder isn't without skill, but currently those skills are not finely-honed. If he continues to fight mediocre bums he's more likely to regress than progress. This is linked closely to #1. His power is undeniably worth keeping an eye on, but it's all subjective. It's been said many, MANY times: opponents who are there to be hit, and hit hard, are always going to flatter a fighter's true level.

Wilder should line up Chauncy Welliver. There's a fight that needs to happen right there.

I hope he fights Charr soon.

Though Charr should first fight Chisora.:D

Also Wilder probably needs a good trainer because he doesn't learn anything with these fights.

Yeah, but he said that in 2010, when he was still training Fury. Soon after, they parted ways. Do the math.

Sure Manny was as prone to going overboard as anyone else, but he did literally think Wilder would be the next champ, as does Witherspoon & Paulie M, both very astute students of the sport. (& as do I for completely independent reasons.)

    - So when some internet fool says Wilder has no skills, it's pathetically ridiculous. It gets tiring having to correct these morons....

    Thanks for posting

Well at least he goes for the ko but after now 27 fights he needs to fight much better opposition than that
