Beta blockers are used as PEDs themselves, so I am not quite understanding where you are going with this.
Yes, so please explain why you think you have asked something significant when a beta blocker is a PED? The ball is in YOUR court.
A beta blocker caps your pulse. People on beta blockers therefore tend to get dizzy when standing up or exercising. Ortiz wasn’t playing 4D chess by taking that. It is only a PED for stuff like darts and archery.
Does anyone know where @Brighton bomber has gone? https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/uncanny-parallels-between-vitali-klitschko-and-deontay-wilder.714647/
u And we've never seen doctors involved in this before, right? Simple google search says that Bata blockers have been used in combat sports for people with anxiety problems. I'm personally not buying it.
@catchwtboxing Compare Whyte's top 10 wins: Parker Chisora 1 (A-side SD) Chisora 2 Rivas Helenius Franklin (A-side MD) Wach Browne Allen Lewison? The top 4 is arguably close but after that it's advantage Wilder. Ruiz has the Joshua win doing heavy lifting but after his top 6 or so it gets difficult. His 3rd best win would certainly be outside Wilder's top 10: Joshua Ortiz (3 years after Wilder handed Ortiz his 2nd KO loss) Arreola (5 years after Wilder made him quit) Liakhovich (16 months after Wilder's KO1) Kevin Dimitrenko Hanks? Lawrence? ??? And even Parker's top 10 drops off to the likes of Fa and Massey/Dimirentko.
Stiverne 2? It had been almost 3 years since Wilder dominated him, he scraped by a journeyman in between, and then Wilder blew him out in 1. He never did anything much ever again. Surely Szpilka and even Molina are above that, Liakhovich etc.
Whyte also beat Povetkin. Parker Povetkin Chisora 1 (A-side SD) Chisora 2 Rivas Helenius Franklin (A-side MD) Wach Browne Allen Parker's 15 is solid, and includes Wilder himself: Ruiz Wilder Zhang Chisora Chisora Bakole Meehan Takam Dimentrenko Leapai HughFury Fa Massey Botha Haumono/Opelu/Sherman Williams
I don't give Whyte points for beating that Povetkin, who was in no fit state to be in the ring imo. I don't think he could beat a game Allen or Lewison. I don't give Parker credit for Meehan, Leapai, Botha etc. Zhang, Ruiz (A-side MD), Chisora 1 (A-side SD), Chisora 2, Takam, Hughie, Wilder, Bakole, Fa, Massey All of the guys who beat Parker would have lost to Parker if they'd been significantly past their best. But by the same token, Parker's wins over Zhang (40+, 292 lbs fat, MD), Wilder (38, twice KO'd, inactive) and Bakole (one day notice, four flights, 310 lbs obese) were heavily circumstantial, on top of the A-side decisions (we both had Chisora winning fight 1). It will be interesting to see what he has left when he returns.
Povetkin clearly went ahead with the Whyte rematch for one last payday. Once you saw him at the weigh-in it was obvious what was going to happen.
I'll be honest that is seems to me like a bit of rationalizing. I mean, Ortiz was a 40-ish PEDs cheat off the PEDS, and Stiverne had a disease where his muscles were breaking down. Seems we can do this both ways.
