I mean it is possible… Wilders right hand was the devil the Alabama Slammer was a one trick pony but it was a helluva trick, I’d say Holmes 3-0 but if he got flatlined in a momentary lapse like with Shavers I’d understand lol.

He's the size of Usyk. If someone says that, they're obvious wrong.

The second of those guys was a light years better fighter than the Bama bum beater.

Holmes fought up to the level of his comp. Going by this theory that any puncher has a shot at Holmes, then he should have lost to Cooney...

It would be the Cooney version of Holmes that shows up to fight Wilder. And Wilder would take an epic ass whuppin.

No, you’re deliberately ignoring that Cooney mostly had left hand power and Holmes got clipped repeatedly with right hands.

And you're deliberately ignoring that Wilder sucked.

Holmes was stopped a grand total of one time in his career -- by arguably THE BEST finisher in boxing history.

Wilder was a mediocre finisher. An inferior finisher to Shavers. If he was an elite finisher, Fury would have been a goner. At best if he got Holmes in trouble, Larry would recoup.

Youre intentionally being a contrarian, as usually.

Wilder's chances against a prime Holmes are dismal.

You can have your convenient line of reasoning, but I'll remember Holmes getting dropped like a sack of excrement by right hands against Snipes, Shavers, and Tyson.

You dont have much of an argument to stand on here. Only one of those 3 guys was able to finish the job on Holmes -- and that guy was one of the top 5 best finishers in boxing history. And he was able to finish the job because he put together blinding combos after the initial KD and rapidly cut off the ring so that Larry couldn't escape. The Bama bum beater couldn't cut off a ring to save his life.

What ELITE fighter did the Bama bum beater ever finish off? I'll wait. And the 170-year-old Ortiz wont cut it as a compelling answer.

Ask @Dubblechin and he could give you a breakdown.

Snipes and Shavers obviously didn’t stop guys as reliably as Wilder (your :( feelings) and Holmes needed questionable calls from the ref in order to continue in each.
