Exactly the same as what people said would happen when Joshua fought Takam, except Joshua has a better chin than Wilder... also, Takam does have power and handspeed - more power than most guys Wilder has fought.
Takam's head and upper body movement along with his foot work would make him an elusive target much like the Szplika fight. Takam like Szpilka will look to counter and fight in spurts, but unlike Szpilka, Takam doesn't have a glass chin. Wilder win a decision probably something like 8 rounds to 4 or 9 rounds to 3. Takam might wobble him at some point like some others have done, I could see a sneaky counter landing at some point. But Takam isn't a big hitter he won't be able to put Wilder away with one shot and he isn't busy enough to win on points.
Wilder by robbery decision. Takam would apply consistent intelligent pressure which Wilder would have trouble adjusting to and use his head movement to keep Wilder flapping away. Wilder starts to have some success with uppercuts on the inside but Takam weathers the storm and continues to bull forward. Last few rounds get messy as Wilder begins to get desperate and starts winging shots while off balance. Does just enough to fire up the Alabama crowd and allow the judges to rip Takam off on the cards.
wilder knocks him out . wilder too tall and rangy ... the straight right and the windmill shot would catch him
Takam would beat the fraud Wilder, but Wilder would never fight him! Next up for Wilder is Breazeale who is also owned by Haymon! He can't fight, but if ordered he would take a dive like Stiverne!
Wilder by an unfairly wide decision. His inaccurate shot making will make it hard to find the target against Takam, whose head and upper body movement will no doubt be the most skilled defence Wilder has faced. Wilder's range and stamina ultimately provides the difference though, especially if he can adapt like Joshua did and look for the jab to the body more. Two judges had him 6-2 up against Szpilka though so if it's close, it won't actually be close.
