Jeffries would have some big shots coming his way early on. A lot of guys would have been over powered by some of the stuff coming his way but James is still there in the later rounds when he starts banging them in. Wilder gets caught on the ropes in the tenth and Jeffries keeps throwing till wilder is out on his feet!
But of course in all fantasy matches a lot does boil down to personal preference. I always like to think in these cases of what certainly could happen but of course to say a 100 percent of what would happen is impossible. In a real life meeting between these men wilder could ko James in 90 seconds and if someone was to to claim that was to happen for certain I would nt argue. But viewing majority of these posts it would seem I may have to review my opinion. Perhaps I put to much faith in the old guys. Would Jeffries be really so out gunned in this case?
So what. Lomachenko came to cousins birthday party and popped out of the cake doing a handstand push up.
I think that where the stories of a fighters physical exploits are supported by a primary source, you simply have to take them seriously. You certainly can’t pick and choose when you will accept a primary source as evidence, based on whether or not it supports your position. You have to give exactly the same weighting to a given level of evidence, regardless of how it impacts your position.
I read it in the new Willard book. He was a huge kid, and broke wild ass horses that nobody else would touch, and was a track star in his region. He started boxing at the late age of 27, but immediately started working with world class fighters with the Carl Morris crew.
Jess Willard ate an entire cow in one afternoon. Took 3 hours. Would have been less time but the cow was still alive at the beginning of the meal. But not at the end of the meal. True story.
One time some little kid was playing soccer. Soccer was his favorite sport. Anyways, he kicked the soccer ball around, and it went under a van and got stuck. But guess who was right there?! That's right. Anthony Joshua. I **** you not, he lifted the van with his bare hands, and got the ball for the kid. True story.
What level of evidence would you need to see to accept that this event happened, or that it probably happened?
Willie Meehan once did that trick where you pull out the tablecloth and leave all the glasses standing. he was a crap sprinter tho. i'm taking the **** because, while there is no doubt Willard was a specimen, and Jeffries likely moreso, it's all a touch irrelevant to the topic.
