First to Seamus , I want to apologize and mean no disrespect to this thread before I comment because it might come off as offensive.

I thought this was hilarious in the since of comparison . A 1950s ref in the ring with Admiral THUG Wilder. Racial tension or more like a culturalistic misunderstanding will have the ref baffled . African Americans of the 1950s era didn't act the way that you will find some do today . They were already at a disadvantage because the issues at hand of that time , however looking back and seeing photos of blacks being everyday citizens they looked like they had plenty of class , dressed sharp and maintained themselves as best as they could . Sticking a THUG like Wilder back in that time would make him an easy target for the ref to hop right on Rocky's side if Wilder were to do any harm to Rocky .

For example Wilder knocks Rocky down , I could see the ref waving off the Knockdown and calling it a slip or giving Rocky plenty of anything he wanted (time to recover) if he was to get hurt , call some sort of ridiculous low blow , stop the fight to allow one of the corners to fix tape on a glove that has nothing wrong with it to begin with. He might even probably find a way to DQ Wilder if he could . Rationale being the ref is thinking to himself about Wilder ," Why does this guy not wear a belt because his pants never can seem to stay in the right spot in public or what kind of language was this guy using , why does he sound so odd ,What does YO mean or "knowaimsayin"(Know what I am saying) The Ebonics would get in the way and help fabricate a negative view for the ref towards Wilder. Wilder is a basketball player not a boxer as far as physical attributes because this guy has no idea how to box , Wilder is a moron " He said his heart was bigger than Ali's " I'm not a fan of the KLIT bros but they would dismantle this joker . I would for sure hope Rocky could end this goon quickly , but Wilder's crazy I guess you would call it "WINDMILL IN A TORNADO" style could get lucky and konk Rocky on the top of his head accidentally (kind of like a random meteor falling out of the sky and hitting someone walking down the street, it wasn't intentional and wasn't planned it just happened but those odds are extreme I would think) and that would only be due the height difference.

IMO men, we are in a time where the heavyweight division is nothing short of being a joke . We could probably have an outstanding era of heavyweight boxers but whomever those men are , the NFL seemed more appealing to them .
