I actually think the risk vs reward is there for Ruiz. He's essentially an afterthought after coming in huge for AJ2 and being knocked down by Arreola. He's 32 and not in a great mandatory spot with any alphabet -probably time for him to take a risk.

it depends on if Ruiz's camp will send some men in to take the sleeping cot away from the local all you can buffet's. guy has talent. Wilder has none. Trim that fat ass up and his chances of ko'ing the bum squad go up. Also Wilder has been damaged..he took one hell of a beating. don't expect to see the same Wilder as usual...a dumb ass with a good right hand. expect more to see a dumb ass that tires quicker and has trouble delivering what is left over.

I believe that prime, lighter Wilder KOs Ruiz in similar fashion to all his other fights - gets knocked around the ring a bit, paws unsuccessfully at his head for a few rounds before finally finding his range and catching him with the right hand. But it remains to be seen how much Fury III has taken out of him, not to the mention the fact that he'll be 36 when he next fights.
Wilder's other downfall is that he's dumb as rocks, both in terms of ring IQ and actual IQ. The blueprint to beat Ruiz is there - AJ showed that he can be kept at range with a solid jab and a bit of dancing, which is a gameplan perfectly fitted to Wilder's physical attributes. But when Ruiz does get close, will he forget all of that, start trying to brawl with him on the inside, and get put to sleep? Absolutely.
