Wilder will not fight Jennings with a sub machine gun.

I would love to see it. Dangerous fight for both men.

Jennings promoter Gary Shaw told ESPN.com on Wednesday that it is not true and that he has been told by Wilder’s team that Jennings is not even being considered.

So that ends that. Povetkin or another undeserving D lister if WBC goes back on their word.

"Jennings' promoter Gary Shaw was told that he's not even being considered as a possible challenger for Wilder." :patsch

Get ready for a clash between Deontay Wilder and Andrej Wawrzyk, for the WBC World Heavyweight title :patsch

That really would be shameful. I'm not too down on his defenses to this point. Two voluntaries within a few months span, one a fringe contender in the top 30, only one real bad. That's really comparable to what a lot of titlists do. Another voluntary against someone at the level of Wawrzyk, who is a step below Duhaupas, would be bad. That would be three consecutive bad defenses, which would be among the worst of all time for a major belt holder among hw's. Even his comparatively rapid pace of facing them wouldn't excuse that.

That said, Showtime's people are saying it will be a "step up" fight, so if it's Tony Thompon or Glaskov etc I won't have a problem with it.

TT is fighting on Oct. 30th, don't think he'll be ready by december\january. And Glazkov would probably prefer to wait for Wlad as the earnings would be better. Showtime may not wanna present another lame title defence but Haymon can always put Wilder-Wawrzyk on his PBC cards.

Carlos Takam is also available, but who am I kidding?

Wilder-Jennings would be a nice fight, but 1) Wilder wouldn't have risked a third voluntary defense against Jennings (a top5 contender) when he's very close of two huge pay days against Povetkin and Wlad. 2) Jennings' last fight was a loss against Wlad; it seemed difficult that he would come back in a 50-50 fight against Wilder. Maybe this could happen in late 2016 or 2017, when both are more mature.

Now the most probable scenario would be: Povetkin vs Wach on November 2015; Povetkin vs. Wilder on March/April 2016; winner vs. Wlad/Fury on late 2016.

Wilder vs Povetkin will probably come through around april-may 2016. We'll just have to tolerate one more disgraceful title defence.

Wilder should be stripped if he refuses to face Povetkin next.... Simple as that.

Would Haymon go that low to put 44 year old Thompson in with Wilder one month after his last fight?

When someone made a thread about this a while back I thought it was a ridiculous notion but it wouldn't surprise me now. His sudden rise up the rankings and then the face off they had recently makes me think it could actually happen.
