This fight should have happened. It would have been easy to promote as a unification match between 2 American HW champions.
But who would have won? I got Wilder. Martin's defense is bad, and being a southpaw, is vulnerable to Wilder's right hand.

Wilder would have an easy night with Martin.

Wilder but only because Martin is slow and sluggish. Martin probably has the power to hurt Wilder as he’s still a decent puncher but he’s not technical enough to set anything good up. Maybe we’ll actually see that fight once Fury takes the rest of Wilders soul and Wilder has to have a comeback fight.

Martin is tailor made for Wilder. Would end vey quickly with Martin taking a nap. Bit of a mystery why it never happened. They could of built Wilder up even more.

If Wilder wants an easy comeback fight, sure, fine.

    Otherwise, No.

Wilder might need a tune up first.

Martin would not take this fight. He knows what would happen. I could not agree with you more on this.

Seems to me you can have flaws against Wilder but make a lengthy fight if you are fast (Spilk), tough (French Chef) or have better boxing skills (Ortiz). If you line some of those up you might win (Fury). But if you fall into the middle ground across these areas, you're probably going to be a KO victim.

Martin came in like a peice of **** against AJ and didnt even look interested in fighting. It looked like he came into the fight looking for a comfortable part of the canvas to lie down on.

With an attitude like that in his biggest fight, he wouldnt fare any better against Wilder.

Wilder would have knocked out the AJ fight version of Martin in under 4 rounds.
