In a matchup with the hard hitting Deontay Wilder vs Slick as water Chris Byrd, who would win in this fantasy fight?

Could Wilder knockout Byrd? Or could Byrd outbox Wilder for 12 rds?

Byrd all day unless he gets sloppy and runs into a right hand, Szpilka style.

I actually have Byrd in this one... I think he’d frustrate the hell out of Wilder

Yes, getting shut out and obliterated by Wlad in two fights, barely squeaking by freaking by McCline and Williamson, getting outboxed by Fres Oquendo and Andrew Golota, and getting wasted by Ibeabuchi ... it all lends itself to an "easy" win by Byrd over Wilder?

    What utter nonsense.

    Worst post of the day.

Prime Byrd out boxes Wilder. Deontay isn’t anywhere near as smart or as skilled as Wladimir or Vitali. So I don’t envision him being able to catch Byrd or out box him. Ibeabuchi was also more skilled than Wilder but not to the degree Wlad and Vitali were. And Chris did have a good chin so in the event Wilder did hit him, Byrd would stand up to it.

    Byrd UD

The lack of Boxing knowledge in the General is staggering......

Chris Byrd made a living countering slow second tier big guys while avoiding most of their return fire........he was no mover, he always fell back to the ropes and doing the above. Ike took his head off on the ropes......WK kept him at the end of his jab followed by the right and never followed Byrd to the ropes and forced Byrd come to him......arm puncher VK pitty pattied with him, had the fight in the bag and quit.

Wilder is very tall, has above average speed of hand and foot, has a dynamite right hand, Byrd's kryptonite and actually has a good jab when he elect to use it

Conclusion: Wilder will bomb feather fist Byrd out long range while Chris is sitting on the ropes...........Byrd is tailor made for Wilder because leaning back into the ropes with just upper body movement with feet stuck in the mud is going to be target practice for Wilder.
