No need to resort to childish name calling, here's a link to Koval's BoxRec ranking of #450 at heavyweight:

Chris Koval lost his last fight to a boxer with a record of 4-6. :!:

I think he refers to the fact that you called Koval fat. Which he is not anymore.

He has dropped down to 218-229. Which is pretty ok.

Koval lost to Tye Fields in one round. Not exactly big competition.

    :lol::lol::rofl:rofl:patsch

I can't believe anyone is at all interested in this joke because it is crystal clear now that this guy has no intention of stepping up to real competition in the foreseeable future. Koval is better than most of the drunks that they pulled off of Alabama honky tonk barstools to fight him but he is a still a soft touch with a Glass Jaw to keep that perfect KO record intact. However, Koval does have some power so I will be hoping that he derails the Wilder hype train and brutally exposes the China Chin that we all know the guy is hiding.

And he's actually a STEP UP for Wilder.

Wilder is a joke, his record is a joke, and everybody knows he's hiding glass in that mandible of his.

A KO waiting to happen. That's ALL Wilder is.:deal

    Koval is a good fight

experienced, has 18 KO's in 25 wins, has been in with Briggs and Dimitrenko and others

only problem is that he is on a bad streak and that his losses are early round

he needs guys like this who are guaranteed wins but needs guaranteed wins who go rounds

like Tyson blasted bums early but fought some bums like Jameson and others who could go 5 rounds or so to make him work

Wilder needs to go rounds to get a gas tank, develop strategy and Ring IQ, he needs to develop defense and timing

i like this fight, its a step up and i think his opponents have been improving

Has anyone heard other prospects calling Wilder out? Has Hanks or Fury or Price called on him. What about Mitchell or Wach or Welliver?

I mean, like MOST of the other bigger named prospects, his team is looking to build his record along with his confidence while he builds on his abilities.

Fury has a decent LOC for where he's at in his career, but it's nothing in comparison to say...Helenius. However, Robbe lost his last fight, yet retains his 0 in a less than stellar effort....excuses not needed, but fight for fight, Helenius is leagues above all others in terms of LOC. Boystov has like 35 fights, and people are begging him for a fight, but here he is still stomping Clevel guys and not even looking for a fight with a guy who has recently won.

I think Wilder is being brought along too slowly, and if he's continued in this manner, he'll end up in a similar boat as Donell Holmes or Malik Scott. No one take those guys serious, since so many other similar level HWs have tried to get in the ring with them.

Or, he'll end up like Rodriguez who has feasted on similar competition through no fault of his own. He's been trying to get big fights for 4 yrs now, and b/c of his high KO rate, guys who are considered better than him refuse to fight him b/c he has become high risk low reward. I'm afraid the same could become of Deontay.

Surely they could get someone like Zach Page or Daniel Peret? Chris Koval has a padded record and is awful atleast guys like Page and Peret come to fight and dont get blasted away.

Deontay Wilder has done nothing, if he was any other nationality but American.

    I agree with you.

Deontay need people that can take him some rounds. Koval is probably not the guy (everything can happen of course) Like Boxing gloves say, I would look to get him in with robust guys like Page, Peret, Hawkins and so on. Guys who rarely gets stopped and could learn Deontay alot. KO percentages aint everything. Deontay should fight way more with this kind of opposition. Lets see if that is the case this year, or if they they give him these tough journeymen (What I would prefer) who dont just fall over in the first rounds.

If he does knock them over also.. Well, then it dont know :!:

But hey, lets see what happens. Atm, im not impressed that impressed by Deontay. But he got the tools.

Boytsov (30 fights, not 35. But yeah) has faced better comp than Deontay, but lately it has begun to slip back down. Probably mostly because of Universums situation lately, which seems might begin to get back to good levels. Ding is better than Greer and Sheppard whom Boytsov feasted on the two fights prior to. But if it dont go upwards again from now on, I hope he jumps ship to Sauerland or maybe GBP fulltime.

Bydenko, Pala, Gavern, Maddalone. That is good wins. The first two are very good wins.

That is the level of guys Wilder should be facing now, instead of continuing to feast on bums.
