"Prime" Tua does tend to be criminally overrated. People like to remember what he did to Ruiz while forgetting he struggled with anyone who had a decent jab, even in instances where his power ultimately bailed him out.
Maybe. I'm not convinced, though. His struggles that were mentioned with Izon, Rahman, and Maskaev, not to mention some struggles with Fres Oquendo and Doc Nicholson - that leads me to believe there is a clear path to victory for Wilder. I'm not saying Wilder would definitely win. But at the same time, I'm not at all convinced that Tua would definitely get to him.
Tua gets underrated. he was lethal at one point in his career. right now he would be dominating like Tyson did with this crop of heavy wasters.
Wilder doesn't seem to have the physical toughness to keep Tua away like Lennox did....I feel he'd get those hooks in and Wilder wouldn't take them well at all.
