Deontay Wilder vs David Tua

Tbh, I think the likely outcome is a decision for Wilder.

I think Wilder being 6'7" to David Tua who is 5'10" would give him enough reach to stay out of harm's way for most of the evening. He did manage to take some hard shots from Bermane Stiverne for 12 rounds and still pulled off a decision.

 

Tua doesn't have a good track record with taller guys,he stayed with Ike and Lewis so I believe he stays with Wilder and survives. wilders herky jerky movements don't let Tua land that huge left hook and wilder figures out Tuas limitations quickly.


Wilder by Decision in a suvive/catch me if you can while I damage you type fight.

 

Wilder isn't savvy enough to avoid the hook for 12 rounds.

 

Wilder has shown enough footspeed and work, with a jab and right. Too much for Tua, who's about 5'9" to solve.

Tua had issues with Rahman. I'd side with Wilder on points, but its not a sure thing.

 

80% chance for Wilder.

 

Rahman and Wilder would be two separate type fights. People don't realize but when you fight the champion most of the time almost always you prepare better and fight better so you get the best version of the challenger. A dangerous Tua is slightly better than Rahman,who was nearly 6'3 and a solid 230/240 and while a B fighter was susceptiple to hard knock out artists. At one best however one can get the upset,the lennox lewis fight would show that and motivation comes into play b/c lewis had made comments about his sister on Espn which is certainly personal below the belt. Lewis of course k.od him in the rematch.

I think Wilders height wins him this fight, Watching the Stiverne fight I believe Tua takes his shots but fails to out box and out work him. I don't believe weve seen the best of wilder either,at least I hope not as hes very unrefined at defense and some footwork issues while throwing more than one power shot.I still would see Wilder winning

 

Finally a fantasy fight where Tua would definitely win. By clean KO.

 

This. Sooner or later Tua lands that Maori mallet and puts Wilder to sleep.

Wilder with his laughable skills messes up at some point and goes to sleep like the Quiet man did vs Tua
