ANY fighter is going down if Wilder lands that big OH right.

The question is, can Chisora avoid that right (and Wilder's equally powerful straight left) and get inside, where he may well be able to do serious damage?

No one knows, and no one knows how Wilder will react if that happens.

It's a really fascinating matchup, and the perfect test for Wilder's heart & defense.

    Another interesting question:

Will Wilder even throw the OH right?

While it is massively powerful, it is also a little easy to see coming. Those two things go hand-in-hand. there is another type of OH right, thrown with less "shoulder," that is harder to see, but also less powerful, and Wilder does not have that weapon.

He DOES have a very good straight right, which isn't much different (from the looks of it) than Wlad's. It's not as powerful as his OH, but safer. Chisora isn't a great counterpuncher, but he does have power, so I wonder which right Wilder will be favoring in this fight? Does he try to get him out of there as fast as possible, or does he play it safe?

Dangerous fight for Wilder, I really think he's hiding some glass.

He has to be hiding glass with those stick legs.

I think Chisora is the safe bet for this fight. I would like Wilder to win by KO after a hard fight that tests him.

Love Wilder but I believe Chisora has more the edge here at the moment.

Has this fight been signed? Or is this all just a rumor.

The last word from Shaeffer (who of course can be trusted about as far as Bob Arum can throw Don King) was that the fight might not happen because of Deontay's legal problem. (He might not be able to leave the country.) This was VERY different from his earlier statement that they didn't think Chisora was a worthy opponent.

And now the charges have been dropped (likely because the "victim" has been paid off, whether they deserved to be or not) so if we go by Shaeffer's last statement, the fight is on.

    Fingers crossed .....

I do not an overly high opinion of Wilder, but I think he stops Chisora.

Wilder seems to punch wildly at times, leaving him open for counters and I don't think those bird legs will allow for him to absorb a decent punch. What Wilder has going for him is punching power, height, good conditioning and he has not been exposed to the "loss" syndrome.

Chisora came in as a fat slob vs Fury, no excuse for that. Lost almost a shut out to an old and slowing VK. Got himself KOed by Haye. Chisora seems a poor counter puncher which should hinder him vs Bird Legs.

Chisora's chin has now been cracked and seldom do crack chins completely heal.

Chisora may catch Wilder, but I'll go with Wilder by TKO, cracking Chisora's chin.

Very interesting match up for both fighters and we should finally be able to see exactly what Wilder has to offer as we all know exactly whats coming from Chisora...if in shape, I think Dereck also knows that this is defo one that he needs to make effort for...as far as Wilder is concerned, his record implies he is a big puncher but noone of substance to actually prove that...we know that Chisora can take shots, so will be interesting, and one things for sure is that Dereck will also land, so lets see if Wilder can take em back.

I'm going Chisora on this one if I had to choose but will be very interesting.

Thought I would also add that despite what I personally think of Dereck, he doesnt miss about, has no fear, gets down to business and makes fights happen. In the last few years I think Chisora has the best Heavyweight resume of current heavyweights by far (despite losing to all obviously loool) - Haye, Fury, Helenius, Vitali & now possibly Wilder. Gotta give the dude some props at least. Also to note good account against Vitali, and clearly robbed against Helenius

If Chisora lands any decent shot on Wilder he is going to the canvas.

Chisora isn't a massive puncher you may say, but neither were the overweight postmen that have grounded Wilder previously.

Wilder's power is overrated as well, if Harrison can get back up after taking his best shot, suggests to me he isn't hitting quite as hard as some on here like to make out.
