Hearn and TR will push Showtime out of the boxing business eventually, I think.

DAZN and ESPNs is not making it a secret in wanting to put a end to Showtime as both Arum and Hearn has said such.. The way they see it is if SHO is ended FOX will not be able to satisfy all the PBC fighters.. Can you imagine if Top Rank had Jarrett Hurd or DAZN had Caleb Plant and Benavidez

Still less than he's being offered from DAZN/ESPN and his future earning prospects are minimal given that the other big names are with the aforementioned. The card itself would have to sell 250k+ to make a decent profit, and the fights a hard sell even without PPV.

Damn if Wilder/Fury did 325K I can't see this doing half that. Wilder has become more popular since the Fury fight his profile has never been bigger but not sure of that will translate into what is not seen as a big fight into being a PPV event worth shelling out 80 bucks for.

Guess they had no choice, with Fury and Joshua now making over $20 mill a fight in the US and Hearn offering $15 mill more than Wilder would of got for fighting Fury they had to gamble and hope it pays off.

It's an interesting test for Wilder's drawing power. He's got a big American opponent who looks the part, albeit not an especially high profile one. It's not as if they've not done the preparation work in any case. They can try and play the 'beef' card over the hotel incident, although that's taking a risk with Wilder's image given his reported actions. Sadly Breazeale is probably too nice and restrained a guy to fully convince in the pre fight panto sessions.

It doesn't scream PPV to me, especially with a lot of HW boxing available for much less and no big fight agreed for the winner. So if it does do well, massive kudos to Wilder because he will be carrying this one mostly on his own.

But this forum told me Al Haymon and PBC are just swimming in money and can pay whatever Wilder wants..

Breazeale should hire William Deets as security for this fight and the build up to it in case Marsellos tries to sucker punch him again in front of his kids.

    PPV for this?!
They significantly lowered the bar after Wilder vs Fury it seems, so expect more and more PBC fighters to be PPV in the future as it the original format doesn't seem profitable.

Ah yes dat Haymon money, lol.

Lol love it when Haymon fighter fans talk about all the extra income his fighters get from hot dog sales and beverage sales at the venue. Wilder and Spence Jr getting rich on that Wiener and Soda money while Joshua is slumming it with his extra income from Under Armour, Beats, Jaguar and Audemars Piguet, lmao.

Absolutely agree. Why would any boxing fan pay $50 or even $80 to watch Wilder vs Breazeale if he can watch Tyson Fury vs Oscar Rivas for $5 and Joshua vs Miller for $10? And he can watch plenty of goodm quality fights paying just $10 per month - Canelo vs Jacobs, Usyk vs Takam, Povetkin vs Hunter. I think only hardcore Wildr's fans and super hardcore boxing fans will buy Showtime's PPV against Breazeale.
