I would argue Joshua and Miller are NOWHERE near same level in their fight and its an actual punching bag type fight in the making.( though an exciting one while it lasts)

Wilder is not remotely a better boxer then Breazeale when they actual box ,he has speed that's it over him so its not predictable at all . This is an actual competitive fight if no one gets caught early ,and really odds of it making out of the 7th round or seeing midway is slim considering both have defensive holes and both can punch ,Wilder slightly harder but he cant take a punch.

Im definitely getting it even if its as half as good as my post on it. which gives a NARROW edge to Wilder.

Worth a PPV ? For me yea ,if it entails a big possibility of seeing wilder get knocked out, i'll pay whatever for it...lol

I think people are worrying way to much on household names and popularity, this will be the first real puncher Wilders fought bigger then he is ,should be interesting.

For people who are slamming this, I agree with you. However... they HAD to do this. If they didn't put this on PPV, it would send out a message that Deontay isn't a star, that he doesn't do numbers and that Fury and Joshua are superior to him. That would ruin any future negotiations.

ESPN and DAZN clearly share a desire to punish Showtime. And there's nothing Showtime can do to stop it. Even Haymon knows, he's putting all his eggs in the FOX basket now to stay relevant.

As for the fight itself, this is a fight MADE for Deontay to look good. Breazeale has all the Wilder bum characteristics. A high guard, slow, fat, doesn't throw punches. But I also am starting to get a feeling that Breazeale is one of those that requires the opponent to throw punches in bunches to stop him. One of Deontay's weaknesses is that he doesn't really throw enough combinations. It's always one here and one there or jab, right hand, jab, right hand repeat.

I think Wilder will get him out of there, but it'll take longer than AJ took. And the possibility of going to points is a real one in my opinion. The one thing you can't slam Breazeale for is his toughness.

Honestly Wider only has himself to blame after this fight. He has listened to dreadful advice from his advisors whether it be Haymon or Finkel. If this does under 250k buys which it will, he has give away one of his two bargaining chips in that all he will have left is the belt. He should have told Showtime to back him and paid him $5-10m and put it on free TV. His best 2 moves at this point was either go to ESPN or DAZN and play them off against eachother in a bidding war 1 fight then the Joshua or Fury with a rematch clause for the third fight. Where does he go after this fight?

The PPV buys for this will literally be "bomb squad".

Blame the gypsy queen Fury, for not wanting the rematch. This fight was always in place. Lol.

I assume everyone thinks Brazil will tough it out for 3 to 5 rounds before eventually being sparked out by Wilder? It seems like a very predictable fight.

Breazeale should just let it go to purse bids, would be carnage

They better make sure they have a damned solid undercard, and even then it's not going to stop it from tanking, but might at least ensure that those who buy the PPV don't feel shortchanged at the end of the night.

Anyone know how much Breazeale is getting for this? It can't be anything less than what he got for Joshua, unless Wilder's side want to conceive that their man isn't quite as equal a draw as they insist.

That message will be sent out if the PPV flops which it more than likely will so he was actually better off fighting Breazzele on non-PPV to capitalize from all the casuals he gained after the Fury fight. They will watch on Showtime but won't buy the PPV. Its better to have a huge audience on regular TV than to have a PPV flop.

Not sure if it is PPV in the UK as well, or not, but if it is I will definitely be giving it a miss, and will be the first time I have ever missed a Wilder Fight since 2014.

    Wilder One Punch KO
    Horrible style match up
They're banking on being fatter than Wilder. Big Bearzill has taken a lot of punishment in his career. He's getting KO out cold I think. Will get beaten to the punch too slow
