Deontay has estimated this will do approximately 5.5 million PPV buys.

They dont have to do this. Wilder is a free agent he couldnt of said it any more clearly. They could of took up Hearns offer of paying him 15 million and then the Joshua fight done over 2 fights which is apparently what they are planning to do anyway. But now rather than earn with Hearn they are going to make a loss with Haymon just to try save face and keep up the pretense they feel they are a Joint A side to Anthony Joshua.

What ever, im looking forward to the fight as i always do with Wilder fights.

Only thing getting Pegged is Eddie Hearn, by OGs Stephen Espinoza and Grandfather Bob Arum.

Its playing right into DAZNs hand putting a PPV right in the middle of a schedule of Rungvisai/Estrada, Canelo/Jacobs, Golovkin, Joshua/Miller, Usyk, Povetkin. Its going to stick out like a sore thumb, enable them to highlight the "No more PPVs" talk again, get the casual fans really questioning "why are we expected to pay for this?"

Showtime is desperate and Wilder is stupid enough to agree to this.
They probably promised him 2 mil PPV views.

Unfortunately for Wilder if this flops like most think it will that will really hurt his star power and negotiating ability going forward.

I agree that Breazeale is tailor made for Wilder to look good against.

Breazeale is durable and will put up a good effort and this ends up as one of those one-sided yet fun fights.

This fight would have been perfect for FOX and a big fight for Showtime. As a ppv it’s a poor main event and probably tanks

Wilder's about to discover that a percentage split isn't always better than a flat fee

This is a good buy, I'm definitely shelling out to watch The Bronze Bomber get it on.

Thank god for that. Wilder may turn what ever is offered down but atleast he is going to listen to them and what they have to offer. That bit dont need Hearn, Hean and Joshua will of already sorted out their demands on any 3 fight offer to Wilder which includes Joshua.

I heard, i think also of Coppinger that Hearn and DiBella set a meeting between DAZN and Finkel and Finkel never showed and that why Wilder has gone and guna do it without them

This could end up in a huge upset i think. Brezeale should not be underestimated because if he lands hard Wilder is out! Brezeale stood to Joshua for 7 rounds taking tremendous beating and Wilder does not throw as many punches as Joshua does. Deontay relies on his big punch only and showed that against Fury. Believe it or not I think Dominic is on Ortiz's level as a pro. He is by far not as intimidating, but is a harder a puncher, way taller and has a great chin, much better chin than Fury's...If you want to see how Joshua becomes the Undisputed champion then watch Brezeale beat Wilder and defend it against AJ ;)..crazy but not very unlikely scenario. Cheers!

This PPV isn't going to do very well.

Usyk and Povetkin are (in separate fights) on DAZN the same night

The only way it has any chance of success is with a very good under-card. But they'll probably just have a few shot or journeymen heavyweights fight each other, and some non-contenders from lighter weights.

Showtime thinks this is a PPV event? Wilder needs a big name to sell an event. No one knows who the hell Breazeale is.
